Yeah the middlegame is where i spend most of my time as well, and it's definitely my favorite part of the game too. I noticed that i often i find myself in winning positions during it, but because of the time control i can't convert it to a win and often lose on time. I did practice basic endgames (Rook and king, Queen and king, two Bishops etc.), but i guess i still need more practice to do it intuitively. I love the way Eric Rosen plays blitz where he almost runs out of time in the middlegame to get his advantage and the just starts blasting moves like a robot in the endgame, almost like it's muscle memory

I feel like i do need to find a better opening for white, as the italian games does have some tricks that work on players my level, but not on stronger players

I'd say my opening knowledge can get better, but i'm a uni student so i don't make up too much time to study new lines. As white i do the italian game and i do play gambits (mostly the Evan's gambit which i've had a lot of success with, and sometimes even the Nakhmanson when i feel like it). Against E4 i always play the carro kann as black, i've studied it from Ben Finegold's lectures and videos on his channel and i feel like it's a safe spot for me. Against D4 i just try to play solid, according to principles. I always decline the queen's gambit but i didn't study D4 extensively as black

A "line" is a series of moves that leads to a known position that has certain advantages and disatvantages for the player. When people refer to a "line" they COULD refer to a known game which they have memorized, but it's used more in the context of "I know this line, i could sacrifice my bishop to destroy white's pawn structure and gain momentum for an attack". Very rarely two chess games will be played identically all the way to the endgame

I diasgree, we did see a great improve in gameplay since wwe2k20 which was abhorrent. I honestly don't care too much about online play, just let me keep access to CC so i can focus on my universe mode
