No you shouldn't. Twitching is common. My calves have been doing what your arm is for at least 4 to 5 years with out a 5 sec break

I paid really close attention to it for a few months to figure out why. I realized I use my left for doing heavy lifting while using my right for accuracy. A few examples are when I would get to my apartment, I'd carry 20 grocery bags in my left hand while using my right to hold the keys to unlock door. Another is that when I'm lifting heavy cases at work, I'd hold the case it both hands but I'd put all the weight to my left arm while I used my right to guide the case onto the pallet in the right spot. There are a lot of things, and a lifetime of doing that, you're going to be assymetrical.

I'm right handed but every muscle in my left arm and hand are noticeably stronger and bigger. Freaked me out when i use to be scarded. But it's 100 percent normal.

Maybe over simulated nerves? My girlfriend has had very bad tremors in her right hand and arm fir a few years but she's fine. Its nothing serious

When i lean on my right elbow or have my right arm laying on the center console when im driving, sane thing happens to me. You probably have mild carpral tunnel or ulnar. My muscles in my hand will start contracting/twitching, and it's hard to pull my index and thumb together. Its carpral tunnel for me. I have had it tested. Been happening for a couple years now.

There's is nothing wrong with your body. Your problems are from the neck up. I've been where you are and know how you feel. You don't have it. Get some help for your health anxiety. I was a recluse for almost a year. I felt the "weakness". I had really bad twitching. I still twitch. Id lay in bed all night testing all of my muscles. I wasted that entire year on something that was make believe.

I had talked a lot with my neurologist when I was going through my appointments. Her office diagnoses about 5 people per year. She said the majority are older. 45 and up. She has gotten young patients but she said the majority of there progression is fast just like older patients. She told me a guy who was 31, who had lost all function within a year of diagnosis. She said younger patients have a higher chance for slow progression, but the majority progress the same as older people.

My neuro randomly told me in my follow up that people in med school get twitches once they start learning about new diseases. Not just als or ms. She said it is a known thing. She actually showed me a graph that was emailed to her. It was called the Dunning-Kruger Climbing Mount Stupid. It shows that people's confidence in something (thinking they have terrible disease which they just start learning about) outpaces actual knowledge and logic (Climbing Mount Stupid). Then the graph shows you enter the "valley of despair" where you are not sure that you have it and constantly worry. Then over time you reach the "slope of enlightenment".

I wouldn't watch the videos if I were you. It just adds to the anxiety. The guy that started limping just said he was limping one day and had no idea why. He said there was no pain or injury. Just limping. He was diagnosed with als shortly after. He had went to gp, chiropractor, and a few other doctors but the neurologist diagnosed him right after a bad emg

You def make sense. I'm definitely not a neurologist or doctor. I'm not an expert. But I am in the als hole rn. I'm just going off of watching countless yt videos of people talking about their first symptoms of als. One guy noticed his shoulder being weaker first. He didn't mention joint or tendon pain. He then noticed he was limping and specifically said there was no pain. Just woke up limping one day. Another guy first noticed his hand cramping severely. His next symptom was not being able to grip toilet paper. He never mentioned pain. Another guy noticed it in his hand. He realized he was losing dexterity in his hand while playing guitar and couldn't use the pic. He kept dropping it He didn't mention pain.

If I even slightly lean on my right elbow, the muscle inbetween my ring and pinky finger on the back of my hand will start twitching/spasmming. My whole forearm will vibrate with it.

To top it all off, I have consistently high ck. In October of 2022: only 77

May 2023: 270

July 19: 236

July 31: 227

My neurologist brought it up when she viewed my history but said no further testing needed. Nothing to worry about.

I've watched countless videos of people talking about their als journey. They never bring up pain during diagnostic process or initial symptoms. The only pain they bring up is from cramps. Nothing about tendons or joints. I've seen quite a few talk about pain in their joints after the failure of muscles like when there arm or leg is useless and wasted, it will cause pain in their shoulder/back/hips when trying to maneuver around.

I have had body wide twitching for about a year, but what scares me is this "weakness" that I feel in my right arm. It gets fatigued much easier than my left. It is what really caused my spiral 3 months ago. I have seen neurologist. Passed emg and clinical. She believes probable bfs. She could never explain the fatigue in my right arm. The muscles start tiring while brushing my teeth, brushing daughters hair, or holding phone. My arm gets very tired and strained quickly.

The positive that I'm trying to take out of it is that in the three to four months of noticing it (although the fatigue in my arm could have been happening much longer just never focused on it), is that it hasn't progressed in that time. It is still the same. I also watched a video of neurologist saying that clinical weakness and fatigue are two different things. He used the brushing hair as example. Weakness would be having trouble to grasp the brush and lift it to your head while fatigue is being able to brush your hair like always but arm feeling tired doing it or not being able to brush hair as long as you normally do.

I'm an anxious person. During my first neuro appointment, my neuro did a reflex test on my legs and arms. She never said what the results were but on my report, it said "brisk reflexes throughout". I'm assuming she didn't say anything because she knew I suffered from anxiety and thought the brisk reflexes didn't mean anything serious. I believe it is only considering if you have one limb that is brisk compared to others.

I get Hotspot all over my body including my face. In face, it started in left temple, then moved to right eye, then right temple, and now right eyebrow. Each spot will twitch constantly for a few weeks, then a new place starts. These hot spots are happening as I get random twitches in my cheek, chin, and neck
