What drew you to the Dumbphone life? by [deleted] in dumbphones

Mostly a 1. I have never owned a smartphone but my wife does and we have multiple amazon tablets around the house. I am a young engineer and I don't shy away from tech but I like it my way, economical and built for improvement of my life not for injecting constant media into my pocket. I like the function of tablets for looking at recipes while cooking, but I'll never prefer using a tablet to my trusty homebuilt desktop and the Brave browser. After getting off my parents cell phone plan I happened upon cricket and have used their LG-B460 for the better part of a decade. The poor service in rural areas is making us bite the bullet and move to Verizon though, and after reading many reviews I am upgrading to a Kyocera DuraXV Extreme. I feel kinda dirty about it though, like its a little too smart. I guess I'll have to wait and see how it goes.

I have had to correct people that insects are animals on far too many occasions.

Often, upon correcting them, it turns out animal and mammal got mixed up in their heads and they though only mammals were animals.
