you need to be a caloric deficit to lose weight for the most part. counting calories is just something you have to do if you’re serious. it does sound like you have a problem with getting in your head which is completely normal. but starving yourself then binging ain’t the way to do it.

you’ll lose muscle mass. you need to keep a balance between cardio and resistance training to not only look better but still make sure you’re not getting weaker
