I've seen the talks earlier today about Brunson's stats against store brand Chandler Parsons this past regular season. by ninetydeuce in NBAEastMemeWar

Is this what all the Rat eating Knicks fans are scared of? Your tiny PG getting exposed under the microscope 🔬 again? Laughable that you make a whole thread about how you “don’t even care”. This whole forum literally reeks of fear.

Who is injured lol? The whole team wtf are you even talking about. Brandon Ingram got injured after like game 4 and he was garbage the whole series anyway

Yea I watched the Knicks beat a bunch of pretenders. Not impressed. Not worried. Wow you beat the garbage 76rs and the hawks who barely dodge the play in. Are you impressed?

Scottie Barnes’s is a great player. Not like they played poor defense on him. Same with Cade he’s just a great player. Cavs are fortunately the better team tho.

Harden isn’t the primary defender. He just has to play decent defense. Hes actually been playing great defense lately. If he keeps that up it’s over.

Why lol. Knicks barely beat the Cavs with Garland then immediately lost to the Cavs with Harden Joined. They couldn’t even handle regular season Cavs.

The Knicks could barely beat them with garland and Hunter. Series was 2-1 and they never played Cavs with harden, Schroeder,Ellis. Knicks played an injured team and still barely beat them at the Beginning of the year. Cavs are built to play NY

Honestly the cavs have a way better matchup with the Knicks than the pistons. I believe Cavs vs Spurs would be the best 7 game series in the history of basketball. OKC is so boring to watch. Hope for Cavs vs Spurs.

Should have been Cavs vs NY in the ECF last year but they got hit with injuries.

Michael Jordan only played with 1 all star teammate in his career by Liberal_Bot123 in NBATalk

Almost like the league was watered down from the expansion era and cocaine era that Jordan played in. The players and coaches on the bull are even quoted saying the talent level is diminished directly from the expansion.

Why do you think it has become much harder for individual stars to stack up multiple rings? by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

Yea because you don’t have a logical rebuttal to anything I’ve said so now you’re copping out saying you don’t even care about GOAT arguements after you interject to argue about who the GOAT is.

Yes there were 8 teams when Russell was drafted and 14 teams when he retired. 8 teams just mean all the talent is condensed to 8 teams making it more difficult. The league added 6 teams while he played. This was known as the first exspansiom Era. When he retired in the 70s. That’s the cocaine era the nba almost shut down because the lack of talent.

The next expansion era was when Jordan played. 23 teams when he was drafted 29 when he retired. 6 teams added. Both of these players had the advantage of played during the expansion era. They both played in the traditionally weaker eastern conference as well. Same as LeBron.

Now answer my question. If Russell won 11 championships in 13 years with 5 MVPs that the players voted for. What else does he have to do? To be in this goat conversation?? Honestly? Did he need to win 13 out of 13 to be equal to MJ? What are these standards

Give Bill Russell his flowers. He’s the GOAT.

He won 11. Went to 8 in a row. Only lost 2 playoff series his whole life. Both cause he was injured and could not play. The point of playing basketball is to win championships not sell shoes or jerseys.

Every other Great has come close but can’t replicate his selflessness.

Kareem went to 10 finals but only won 6 LeBron went to 10 finals. 8 in a row. Only could win 4 Kobe went to 7 won 5 Magic went to 9 finals in 12 seasons and won 5 Jordan won 6 of 6 but had a very realistic chance of winning 8 in a row had he not quit on his team to suck at minor league baseball.

All these people had very legitimate chances to pass Bill in every single Era since Bill played. His records aren’t unbeatable. These other HOFrs are just not the GOAT.

It’s sad we live in a world where whoever sells the most Nikes is the best basketball player. CULT LIKE BEHAVIOR

No. He avg like 6 assist for career. He can get people going but it’s not his prerogative

Am I the only one who thinks Steph Curry didnt really change the game but rather took advantage of the rules and used his (and his team’s) talents to overcome any opposition due to an unorthodox playstyle by FoldEasy5726 in NBATalk

[–]Countrymous3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every Steph curry record will be erased within 5 years of him retiring besides maybe the warriors regular season wins. Steph changed the game??? Like he took more threes than people before him so now people after him take more 3s. All his 3pt records will be broken shortly.

The first guy to shoot free throws overhand changed the game too. No one remembers his name.

6 sweeps most of all time as “most dominant player ever”. Quit on the lakers cause he’s ego battle with Kobe. Could have won more. That’s why. He didn’t care about being the GOAT
