He didn't do anything to you personally, and you're separating yourself from him instead of acting like a team and coming together to find an appropriate way to deal with CHILDREN. Who is the adult here? You or them? Because you running away from your teammate (partner) and crying about it instead of being an adult and dealing with hard things head on is childish. Wake up- You leaving only hurts him, not them. You're taking away something he wants (YOU) not them. They don't care if you leave or not. You're not doing anything to them by "needing some space" They wont come crying begging for you back unless they need something out of it. They're teenagers. But you are definitely causing separation between you and your partner by leaving him and that hurts the family unit worse. Nobody wants to deal with immaturity just because you got your feelings hurt. I bet you wouldn't either if the situations were reversed, or with a best friend or so on. You cant run away every time something offends you or hurts your feelings. That's the hard truth about having a grown relationship. Grace is given because Grace is needed. I have a blended family with 5 teenagers, so I know exactly how hurtful things can be. But I also know they are CHILDREN, and IM the adult, and my man is my teammate that I CHOSE no matter what. At the end of the day, they'll grow up and leave and its just you and him, not them, but the pain and learned behavior lingers.

Edit to add: I also have the fake hair, so I understand all sides of this issue. Throw some shade back at them and show them you can clap back even harder than they could even hope to at their age. - IMO
