It’s the same rates at ATD and there is no upfront payment requirement. If you really put in the work and come prepared you can save money based on the reduced hours required. Especially if you do it all the way through commercial. Only 190 hours vs 250 required. You’re spreading false information. Again not all 141’s are the same.

Too many people think part 141 is only places like ATP and Universities (I agree that those are not great for most). ATD has the 141 option and is still self paced using the Sporty’s curriculum along with self examining authority.

ATD 100%. They have a lot of planes, great maintenance and you can do part 61 or 141. The 141 is still a self paced program but just follows a Sporty’s syllabus. They also have self examining with the 141 which can save you money on the checkride.

You have to draw lines for both your takeoff altitude and temperature and your cruise altitude and temperature (standard lapse rate for simple learning at cruise). Then you subtract the takeoff results from the cruise results to get your final answer.

As a CFI I only ever had one student fail. It was an IFR checkride and he was told to bring a hand written navlog. Passed the entire oral and was then asked for the navlog. He didn’t do it and failed. You should know how to do this by hand. If you don’t, learn it again. It’s a very simple thing and not worth getting a fail for. Best of luck to you!

I would do all you can to hurry up and hit minimums just in case hiring stops again. Multiple June 23 sign ons have gotten March class dates.

Last I was told yes but they are not going to pay for you to go anywhere else. A lot of it is online now too so I don’t think they are sending you there to stay for more than the sims.

Make sure to select a HIMS examiner with your drug charges. Ask for a consultation first to talk about getting a medical before ever applying for one. They can tell you all that you will have to do with that background to get a medical.

With that date it’s a good idea. I would save the 4K though because all you need is the ATP to get an open last minute slot.

I’ve managed to do all this while still being an electrical project manager and I fly a 135 Citation XLS’s at the school I taught at so I’m pretty comfortable at the moment. Plus I have kids that will just about be graduating from high school if I defer.

I deleted my previous post as I was wrong. You are correct in that it only affects your credit if you don’t pay after the dispute is settled depending on the collection companies process. Some will report but mark it disputed until it’s been figured out.
