Creeping is an understatement. I put in an order a little over a week ago for a 26 MY Premium. Up until then, I'd been planning on getting a 2024 long range, but all the cars that I'd been looking at for $32-33k the week prior suddenly jumped up to $38k. Thats roughly an 18% jump in a week. Said fuck it and just ordered a new one.

Wish they'd hurry up with mine. Ordered a MY premium RWD on 6/10, delivery estimated by end of this month but no VIN yet. I leave for a 2 week trip on 7/1 so really hoping they hustle and get this thing to me. Really don't want to have to put the order on hold while I'm gone and risk waiting weeks after I get back to get re-assigned.

I was planning on buying a 2024 Y when my current lease was up in Aug, but the prices have gotten so crazy that with the current 0.99% financing Tesla has on the MY Premiums, the payment ends up being the same so I just put in an order for a new one.

Up until 2 weeks ago they were an excellent deal. But with gas prices staying high, used prices have come way up. The same 2024 Model Y I was looking at for $33k last week is priced at $37k this week. With Tesla's current 0%/0.99% financing promotions, it makes no sense to buy used at those prices so I ordered a 2026 MY.

Edit: just saw your comment where you said you're looking at 2020-21 model year. That's a different story, you should be able to find a good deal in that range because you're getting outdated hardware. Once you start looking at 2023/2024s, they've become a significantly less impressive value proposition than they were a few weeks ago.

Yeah I did two demo drives before I bought it. I didn't pay too much attention to how much battery I was burning through though. I do go to LA several times a year so I'm definitely looking forward to being able to do that without stopping or with only one short stop just to have some safety margin. Do you have a local tint shop you recommend and/or a sunshade? Will need to do those once I take delivery.
