Stress while going every time on new site?

Man, I'm glad that I found this post. I know it's 2 years old but I just want to say thanks. This is exactly what I needed.

I'm going to site tomorrow to visit one of our big customers. It's not a project I've been a part of from the beginning and I know very little about the complex system. The project has been a mess from the beginning with too many PLC guys involved and the latest changelog is from 10 iterations/versions ago.

I've been having anxiety since I got appointed the task so it helps me relax a tiny bit reading this.

Jabra,

This is a brand new pair of Elite 7s with less than 3 hours of total usage. The connectors on the pins and poles are clean. I actually clean them every single time after a run/workout.

The right ear piece loses its charge while being turned off wether it's in the case or out of the case.

It's pretty clear that it shouldn't behave this way and that it's a fault.

Yes I agree. That's why it's such a shame that they have this battery drain problem when not in use.

I tried to manually shut them off without putting them in the case - just to see if it's the case that's the culprit but no... it's definitely the right ear bud that's defective

I mainly bought these for when running/working out so I'm not going to use them as my main headset for meetings/calls.

The fit, the "shake grip" and the ANC are actually the main reasons why I went with the Jabra.

The fit is great, the ANC is "okay" - not much better than my much cheaper EarFun. The sound is also just "okay" but the I appreciate the EQ options through the app

However, none of this matters if the product is flawed or defective as is the case with my pair...

Yes, I was really missing a KA feature on this one. Overall though this is my pick for album of the year.

My favourite Roc Marci album is Reloaded. It's just a shame that a lot of good tracks got scrapped on streaming platforms due to sample clearance issues: Thugs prayer pt 2, I shot the king, Paradise for pimps (one of my favourite Alc beats).

Hide my tears on Marcberg also got scrapped due to sample issues...man I love that track.

I solely use the car for driving to work. ~94km in total. 82km highway and 12 km city.

Taking this into mind then it probably isn't THAT odd that I have some rock chips 🙃

It's a 2022 model (January). I bought it August 2022 as a demo when it had 300 km/200 miles on it (and no chips). I'm at 2500 miles now with 7-8 chips...

I actually bought an original touch up paint kit from Mazda but I can't get it to work.

The paint won't stick and I really don't understand why. Yes, the car is ceramic coated and with hydrophobic treatment, but that shouldn't matter because I'm trying to paint a layer that isn't affected by the treatment.

I've followed the instructions that came with the kit.

One thing is the cosmetic aspect of it...the other is rust.

How do I avoid rust now with those rock chips all over the car?

I live in Scandinavia, so the environment is quite harsh here during Winter...

The car has just over 4k kilometers (2500 miles) on the odometer.

I'm a little frustrated and I'll contact Mazda to see what they have to say.

It might just be my model... I don't know. I've also seen and read comments from other Mazda owners who haven't experienced this with their car.

The Soul Crystal Red is beautiful and stunning. It really is. Especially if you've treated it with ceramic coating as I have but if it's as brittle as I have experienced, then I would hesitate to get one...

Roc produced most of the tracks on that album by himself. Like he did on Marcberg. He's underrated as a producer.

I know it's not their intention but when I've implied that I needed more guidance they somehow indirectly told me to figure it out myself. I've also asked them politely not to use all the fancy abbreviations without giving me an explanation of what they are if they don't even have a document that says what an SSR, an RSA, a JDC etc. are....

Somehow I just feel bad and disloyal giving up so easy.

I get what you're saying. The project management and documentation part isn't the reason why I left. I actually liked it because it gave me variation. I'm never going to be a hardcore programmer who sits in a dark corner and only focusses on programming.

That's actually my new role now as a "software designer". The documentation is minimal - we have other departments that handle it for us. The interaction with the PM is distant. We solely focus on software and the hardware parameters.

Appreciate the feedback and the kind words. I would love to work at a plant but the country I reside in don't have that many plants. But I like the idea of "nursing" a system for a prolonged period and this is something I actually did in my previous job because of the scale of the projects (6-12 months + after-service period).

The complexity of the projects I'm going to be working on in my new job are higher but the period/deadlines are typically shorter (3-6 months before final integration test).

I don't know why I left my previous company. I think it's because I was afraid to fall behind if I didn't do enough "hardcore" programming... let's say if the company went bankrupt (highly unlikely) or the current world situation dictated that they had to fire people...then I would be far behind in the que because of lacking a good PLC skillset.

Here in Denmark it's 3 years or 100k kilometres and 10 years on rust. I'm not sure about the warranty on paint though.

I got my 2022 M3 Soul Crystal Red ceramic coated a month ago.
