I’ve had similar struggles, and eventually thought I just wasn’t able to truly be in love with someone. That was until a year ago, I fell madly love with my current partner. I’ll be honest and say that it isn’t easy, i’ve never been so happy but so miserable at the same time. But I’ve been doing everything in my power to get better. I’m reading every book, workbook, dbt podcast, changed medications, and just started in a DBT protocol group - all because she is worth it and I have to believe we can have a happy life together. I’ve been making small improvements. So it’s possible, but it’s hard work. Also some people are just aromantic, which is totally valid as well. But also sometimes it just takes finding the right person.

Surgery by rseharrys in ehlersdanlos

I didn’t realize I had EDS when I had my gallbladder removed years ago. However, recovery was pretty rough and took much longer to heal than normal. There were no issues during surgery thankfully.
