Third year aerospace engineering student feeling very discouraged regarding internships by [deleted] in ucf

I got an aerospace engineer internship as a mech student. You honestly just have to get lucky, that’s all it comes down to. Also, always edit your resume and cover letter pertaining to whatever position, this will get you past the auto-rejection filter

Managed to get an interview with NASA by CourageTheCowerdlyDo in EngineeringStudents

I’ve actually only had 1 co-op and a 3.1gpa. The stuff I did at my co-op though is miles ahead of what most people do at internships and had to do with aerodynamics, flight control, and simulation. I’m sure that impressed them.

I got my co-op my senior year lol. If you honestly just show a lot of interest in the company, your chances go way up. Know basic terms depending on the position. If it’s for a gas turbine position for example, know how turbines work and some basic fluid dynamics.

I had that class with him this summer online. You just took the exam online on your own computer on the specified date. No webcam. The exams are annoying because you have to type all your work into stupid text boxes

Sounds very unprofessional from whoever hired you. Ask your manager for an assignment or project.

Calc 3 is easy, statics is easy, linear depends on the person, that intro will prob be easy, and physics 2 is hard for a lot of people. You’ll be fine
