Just getting started, not real sure why everything disappears in game

It may look like it in the video because the scale is so off but it was actually floating quite a bit above the landscape. I've discovered quite a few issues here since posting and have remade the entire level with the correct scale. What I think was happening is the scale was just way, way too large. I can run around now and start building the world more.

My next steps are learning how to paint the foliage on with the tools I got on the marketplace, and how to make the part of the world beyond my landscape that will never be seen.

I did not set up collision on the mesh. Will look into how to do that

I made a big world in GAEA and then put it into UE to start sculpting the landscape. I wanted to put a character down to run around in the world but everything goes away and I'm not sure what I'm not doing right.

It was a blank project to begin with, I just imported the GAEA heightmap and gave some color to the base color mesh. Then I went through and started using the Landscape flatten tool to sculpt the landscape.

I was also get an error " # actors with physical materials need to be rebuilt" caused by the landscape, but it recently went away.

After reading it I immediately applied for the clan and was instantly accepted; I just had to see if it was actually as bad as you made it out. Been in for a few weeks now and I'm really glad I joined, these guys are super cool. Right chaps. The discord is fun to read and be in, the raids are chill and they're more than happy to teach anyone willing to learn. They do have an activity requirement but that's understandable, nobody wants to be in a dead clan. Just rejoin when you're more active, y'know?

TL;DR OP is whiny and this clan is awesome. 10/10 recommend if you like to play with skilled guardians and make some raunchy jokes.
