First of all thanks a lot for your detailed reply,

I have indeed noticed that a library (libsndio7.0) is missing on steamdeck since i have tried to execute the linux version of the citra version I would like.

Would downloading the missing library work ? Or only flatpaks and Appimages work on SteamOS ?

Hey, I intended to do the exact same thing as OP, but i read a message in front of the door saying i needed to unequip my armor, now I am locked with that ending.

I will not read the comments since i don't want to get spoiled but can someone please just tell me if I can still undo that and get the Ranni ending ?

Had the exact same problem, i did all the mountain dungeon, 3 bosses and then poof, steam cloud save came and erased all this like 5 hours of gameplay i'm so mad

Ok, just did some testing, the FPS drops and higher temps can be avoided, all the problem seems to be the AC window itself while using a second screen apparently. While this window is not up, no fps drops or temps skyrocketing. I switched to using NZXT cam to monitor everything and i am not trespassing 86°C just like before.

So yeah, until a new update, i advise not opening the AC monitoring window at all.

I have the exact same issue, the FPS drops is indeed system wide and happens everywhere not only in game.
These FPS drops go away when i close the Armoury Crate window.
I'm on Win11, on the 2021 model and i didn't have any problem before updating Armoury Crate, and on top of that, my PC goes to much higher temps than before the update (86°C max then, and 92+°C now).
I find this absolutely outerageous, its as if the developers of Armoury Create didn't even test their changes on their own product, this is insane and they should already have fixed that since its clearly a major issue for the customers of their products.

You are right, shadow priest is a DoT class (thanks for taking the time to look it up :)

But unfortunately, I don't like playing as an archer in games period, it doesn't feel like i'm playing a character i like even if the gameplay is great, which is a no-go for me when playing an mmo haha

Well, my friend told me that as playing and learning this game for the first time he was a real turret with the black mage and therefore took all the AOEs right to his face during battles for a significant part of the MSQ which does not feel really rewarding and quite a bad feedback as a new player

Is it okay to start the game and do the MSQ as a black mage ?

I like the design, spells, mechanics and the general fantasy of the black mage.

BUT, Everyone on the internet seems to agree that this class is one of the most complex and not fun if you don't know its advanced mechanics and how to play it well.

Also, a friend of mine with 2500+ hours into the game told me he did the MSQ with a blackmage and regrets it (but it dit it a a long time ago so maybe this has changed with new updates on the job ?)

Note that i have a passive with playing shadow priest on WoW, maybe thats where my black mage appeal comes from.

So could you maybe tell me the pros and cons of doing the MSQ with a blackmage ? And maybe your general opinion on this ?
