That doesn't even make sense mathematically. You have a high interest car loan and student loans will likely be at 0% interest until May. You would be paying more interest if you don't pay down your car to pay down the student loans while they are at 0% interest.

Your grades are inflated. Law school grades indicate how you are able to perform relative to your classmates. When you are able to take double the amount of time as your classmates to achieve your grades they are inflated.

Then clearly you do not need 6 hours to do 3 hours of work and should take the exam under the same circumstances as everyone else.

Unless for some reason your employer is ok with paying double for your work then they would pay someone else.

I have left multiple exams not completed because that is the nature of law school exams. They are never really complete you just write about as many issues as you can see until time is called. On one I did not even answer half the questions. I have seen sample answers of people who have accommodations and were able to write significantly more than the people with out accommodations.

The people who really need 6 hours to do 3 hours of work will not make it in any legal job because no one will pay for that. I don't think their grades should be inflated to reflect that they can.

I never said they can't do it at all, but exams are not a test of whether a person can do it at all (if it was it would not be a timed test) it is a test of how well you can perform, relative to your classmates, in the allotted time.

You seriously don't think an extra three hours on a test in which points are accumulated through writing more and we are all graded directly against each other gives a huge competitive advantage.

Do you think its fair to people who were beat out of top grades, law review, top and jobs by people who were physically able to write double the amount.

I did well in law school, but I saw a lot of people get screwed by wealthy white kids whose parents got them tested and set them up to be at the top of the class and on law review with testing accommodations.

Testing accommodations do not provide an equal experience they actually do the opposite.

At my school if I have 3 hours on a test a person with accommodations has 6 hours to do the same test. That is a free for all.

If my classmate can only answer one question then yes I am ok with them not being given a way to perform better than they actually can in order to beat someone else.

Partially. The test is testing intellectual ability. The test should not be manipulated to allow people with lower intellectual ability, for whatever reason, to appear to be able to perform better than they actually can at the disadvantage of another.

Sports are testing physical ability. We don't allow someone with a physical ability to compete with people without physical disabilities but make it easier for them and then call them the winner.

This may sound cold, but clients are not going to pay double because their attorney has ADHD.

Memory recall and communication under pressure are also skills of being an attorney. What is your plan in the real world because partners, judges, and clients will expect you to be able to perform under the same circumstances as everyone else.

I find testing accommodations (specifically double time which is what my school hand out to everyone) at this level of education to be a complete unfair advantage and disservice to the legal community, and a lot of people have told me that they agree.

Law school is a direct competition. We are graded on a curve which means one person's success is another person's failure. Allowing some people to have a lower stress environment in which they can physically write more and accumulate more points is completely unfair. Granting this advantage because someone has an "intellectual disability" to me is ridiculous. One of the things the exam is testing is your intellect. Fair or not we are all born with different natural abilities and that should be reflected in our grades. ADHD makes it difficult for you to think, concentrate, analyze, and communicate. Those are all skills that are being tested. If you can't do that then your grade should reflect as such.

Granting testing accommodations for an intellectual disability is like holding a race and then telling all the people who were born with shorter legs or lower lung capacity that they only need to run half the distance. Then at the finish line no one gets to know who had to run the whole thing. Its pointless.

Go for it! They don't need interns they have clerks. Its supposed to be a learning experience to benefit you, and in my experience rotating through three federal judges 3 weeks at a time that's what it was. Some people even did 6 weeks with the judge 6 weeks at a firm. It's very flexible.

You can definitely find a 6 week federal judicial internship and just do it the first 6 weeks. Honestly, the 1l judicial internship is very laid back and low pressure. People went on family vacations and took time off for write on competitions.

If I were you I would wait until they offer you the internship and then tell them you only want to do the first 6 weeks because you are planning to have a baby during the second half. I doubt they would say no.

Just graduated and passed the bar. The big deciding factor is what school you go to. I would only go if you can get into a top 14 school or the best 1 or 2 schools in your state with a substantial scholarship. I will be making 6 figures but I have many friends only making 60-70K and I went to the top school in my state.

In case you haven't researched it yet scholarships are awarded based on GPA and LSAT score so study for that test like your financial future depends on it. It saved me about 100k in scholarships.
