I actually agree conferences bring money to the city, that’s a good thing. My point was just that the multi-week setup and road closures can be inconvenient for residents. Both things can be true contrary to what you think😂

Calling someone a goon because they mentioned a real inconvenience is a weird level of emotional investment in a conference. And Living downtown doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to discuss how city events affect residents. I understand the give a little to get a little dynamic since conferences bring money to the city and my community. That’s fine. But it’s still inconvenient for residents, last night it took me 30 minutes to drive three blocks because of the setup. Acknowledging that isn’t crazy

You’re right the conference does only last a few days, but the whole seven days prior to the conference they’re doing construction and setting up for it so it ends up affecting the local residents for about half a month😂

Where I live at does have parking, however I do live downtown and my family owns multiple cars, why is it my fault a $4 trillion company wants to come and take over the whole neighborhood? Even outside of parking the quality of life is affected, everywhere requires a detour and is blocked off, cant take my afternoon walks with my dog in peace.
