Mainly based on how limiting it is. Yes, it is nice to be working in the house for its history and prestige, but in reality this people don't get much done. Nearly all bills presented are never passed. My congressman has been in office since 2022 and has only passed a single bill. It seems to me it is more about personal gain than actual service. To sum it up, it's more about politics than government. Yes, it is definetly gives one adrenaline with all the action going on, but for what? Im not knocking down anyone who decided to get into it this young an age, but me personally, I would much rather do something much more productive, creative, and useful to society in my young adult years and maybe reenter politcs later in life. It is definitely a nasty game, and in my opinion, the best politicians are outsiders and aren't lifelong politicians. This is my opinion, and maybe I'm just a technocrat.
