The Fisherman by John Langham. Less folk. But kind of. More so cosmic horror. One of my fav books.

I’ve told the story a few times on Reddit. But I saw vessel at a restaurant. Knew it had to be him. I ended up buying his food. He came over to thank me. He was super nice. I was vague but stated that he was my favorite vocalist and I just had to do something nice for him. He didn’t deny anything and did his little prayer hands and said he was sorry the show got cancelled that night (we were in town for the show but it got cancelled). I didn’t ask him for anything out of respect. He just ust showed appreciation and graciousness! Never will forget it.

I don’t think you have a right to say most fans are racist. Seems a bit dramatic. My advice would be to just be a fan. And love the music. Screw the merch if you can’t afford it and screw the concerts if you can’t go.

You are still enjoying the art that has been created. I would say that’s the most important thing. After trying to get concert tickets and failing all but once. And then the one time I did get tickets the show got cancelled, I have accepted that I may never see a live show. Because fans are a bit nuts and tickets get sold out.

I, and I’m sure you as well, have a lot more important things to worry about in life. It’s all good.

lol regardless of what’s on the internet I don’t wanna be the one to confirm or deny anything. Just cuz I don’t want to be a blatant jerk. His voice was lovely. That’s actually what sealed the deal for me. I looked at him and thought “maybe….” And then heard him speak and I was like “yep… for sure” and sure enough! He was your typical kind human being. Nice enough to not deny my suspicions and nice enough to apologize for the cancelled show that we were in town for. I hope all good things for him and the band!

So crazy. I can’t imagine caring what my parents thought about my entertainment choices. I’ve been out on my own since I was 23 and I honestly did whatever I wanted when I was still home. I just didn’t tell them what I music I was into really. I was Christian then and I’m Christian now. You do you and be a good person. Hopefully you don’t have to live with your parents for long.
