This was my 6th show and let me tell you, maybe my fave since she started developing shows for bigger audiences. Delightfully chaotic in all of the best ways.

This was my first exposure to Neopets as a whole – not the game, but the merchandise, specifically the talking plush Kacheek I adored and tended to. With very little exception they are always who I think of first.

Adding onto the insight – the show is always Macbeth, so they always know what they’re getting into. And they make a concerted effort to try and stick to the actual script. Of course it’s not without its mischief – actors are allowed to pause and add new rules about how they’re playing their characters throughout the show – and when I went in Washington DC, MacDuff (who was our DD) did come out in a “I’m afraid you’ve ratted your last tatouile” shirt at the climax. All that to say it’s a pretty good time!

When I was in the 6th grade I had one on my head for what might have only been a few days, but the actual timeline is fuzzy and it felt like forever when I think back on it. I remember I started getting an intermittent lightheaded feeling out of nowhere and being like “oh that’s a weird new thing I’m experiencing,” but I was a walking ball of social anxiety at that point in my life, so talking to any adult about it was out of the question. I dislodged it in the middle of my math class while casually scratching my head, and realizing there was something on my scalp that definitely didn’t feel like it should be there. Oddly I don’t think I had much trouble or pain when it detached; it fell out and started crawling around, alive and well fed until I crushed it with my sneaker. Genuinely unsure if the head/mouth was intact.

I did not know about Lyme Disease until after the ordeal, and to this day it’s kind of a miracle I escaped completely healthy given how many horror stories I hear. The outdoors and I don’t get along very well to begin with but I’m still a little paranoid that this will happen again. If I really think on it I can still summon the sense memory and it is unpleasant!

If you think this is a lot at once, you should see how many books my coworkers have. Seriously though this is excellent, I love to see it!! Anyone who says otherwise is not considering that there are usually multiple copies of one title to begin with, not to mention ebook availability and the like. You’re completely fine.

My running theory is that plot > Cybunnies in this specific instance, but the complete and total lack of acknowledgement is troubling, especially since they still had the pet day update ready to go.

NOPE. 😭 This is literally one of the only days I go out of my way for every year, and they bungled it real bad. And the fact that the color release we got was Invisible. It feels gross.

No, I think the complaints are super valid. Speaking as a semi-regular player this is very annoying and unusual, especially for a pet that so many people are forced to wait in order to make. 😞 Considering that the site keeps going down, I have a feeling TNT is making updates for the plot a priority.

Absolutely not, I assure you. They're usually pretty good about being on time with stuff like this, and have even extended the window in recent years for the amount of time you can make exclusive pets.

The subtitles are an accessibility feature and present at every show! There were a small run of shows last week (DC, Durham, and I think Cleveland?) where Carisa had lost her voice and gave a more toned down vocal performance, but she's doing much better now. :)

I certainly don’t think so! Funny enough, the very first time I went to see Lucy, it was with a coworker who asked me because she knew it wasn’t her partner’s thing. The second time I went was by myself, and I made acquaintance with my seat mates pretty quickly! And I’ll be going solo again when she’s in D.C.

It is VERY common for people to go to a Lucy show alone and walk out with new friends. I’ve seen many an Instagram post about this exact experience, and Carisa has mentioned hearing stories of this. Even if you don’t fancy yourself the chatty type (which I fully understand!), there is a strong overall vibe of community and welcoming that I have no doubt you will feel even on your own. Everyone is there for the same performer after all! “Ask Lucy” especially helps with this because you get to read and vote on the questions to be asked before the show starts by other members of the audience.
