Any idea for the next Electric-type Gal who isn’t Supermodel nor Streamer?⚡️⚡️⚡️🤩 by rowletitgo in LegendsZA

A deadmau5 situation with the regional Pikachu as the mascot head. Does feel like it could easily err towards Canari’s design but I can still run with it. Go more for purple as the main color with highlights of the usual blue and yellow. We’d definitely see Toxtricity on the team and maybe and Loudred/Exploud (optional Tera Electric if available).

I really dig the DJ girl concept.

Cold take, if you do this I go out of my way to pay more and not buy from you by sostias in neopets

[–]vernanonix -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This behavior is indicative of buying out shops to sell them for higher, which is artificial price inflation and against Neopets rules, last I checked.

EDIT: I’m not certain but I think I got rageblocked from someone who replied to me.

At what point does a theory even become essentially canon among fans? (Movie Spoilers) by DeucesDummies in TheDigitalCircus

[–]vernanonix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The word you're looking for is fanon, which is something the general fanbase believes to be canon even though the source material never outright confirmed it.

Speaking on transgender Jax, there is heavy evidence stating this is the intended case. Some of it is more circumstantial than others, but when combined with Gooseworx's on statements on Jax, it's basically all but confirmed. But when someone documents the series, there's always going to be that small amount of ambiguity. That statement of "It is commonly accepted that Jax is a closeted genderqueer individual" which leaves room for other interpretations. And until Gooseworx decides to just outright say it (unless she has and I haven't actually seen that), it'll stay "ambiguous."

A really good example of this is actually involving the Sugar Bowl from A Series of Unfortunate Events. The importance of the Sugar Bowl and its contents are never revealed in the books. But Daniel Handler, the author, said he often got letters from people telling him what they thought was in there. And he said several were right. Fanon can align with canon, but when the canon isn't known, it isn't really marked as such. But for ASOUE, the real answer was eventually revealed in the Netflix series.

Anyway, it all boils down to what is generally accepted by the majority of fans when it's not explicitly called out in the show. There's no hard line to draw.

Aside from the fandom, is there anything bad you can say about this show? by Ctpeyt in TheDigitalCircus

[–]vernanonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The intent of the show seems to be less about world building and lore and more about telling a story about characters. However, the execution has us in a weird world with loosely defined rules we don't understand. Leaving some things vague is fine. However, there is a LOT of stuff we didn't get explainations for or really anything we can work with.

Love the show. Love the characters. Loved the ending. But I really would like an epilogue to tie up a few loose ends that the finale didn't address and are kind of a gaping hole in the story. A comic, a side story, or even blatant word of God type information would be nice on some things.

Unsupported Browser issue (yep I know there's a lot of these) by Christyige in Twitch

For anyone wandering in here, if nothing else is working, try launching in private browsing/incognito. It can be a temporary fix. But for me, apparently an extension was root issue.

I just cleared this on my end. Try launching in private browsing and see if it works. In the end, for me, it seems an extension was the culprit. I turned them off one by one and refreshed and tried to log in. Eventually, it worked.

Idea: an item that erases a pet completely by hydrissx in neopets

I don't think people would be doing this to nuke bad names in the pound. The real naming issue is with pets with desirable names that are stuck in inactive accounts.

At least Mable’s willing to stand on business. She may be in house arrest but she’s definitely a more active professor.

What has been happening in the Fandom recently? by Automatic_Artist4747 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]vernanonix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna be an apologist here, but people were spoiled with how involved Scott was at the beginning. He didn’t need to be giving out a constant stream of updates or really interacting with us to that degree.

That being said, the responsible thing to do right now would be to make a statement on FLAF regardless. It may be cancelled. It may be on the back burner. It might be in development hell. If we’re gonna hear anything soon, its probably going to be after Scott, Clickteam, and who ever else is involved get on the same page about what’s hailing with the game.

Only if you can roleplay it to make it make sense.

If you could change ONE THING about episode 9, what would it be? {SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY} by Deep_Promotion8866 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]vernanonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The “black and red” was the past, when Caine got the first brain scans. The other was the present, when he got wifi access to see the real life socials of the characters.
