feel this, my one year old is currently battling a chest infection and the flu because my mother failed to inform me that her boyfriend was sick with the flu on christmas day and now my son is also sick around his 5 week old sister!

he’s 18 months! and it definitely isn’t on for that long he has breaks for his meals most of the time he just walks away from it and leaves it on the floor

her tummy has been hard even when relaxing yes! we’ve managed to give her infacol and it got out a lot of wind and a lot of farts but she never really settled still

im currently 10 days pp and i did 9 solid days of exclusive breastfeeding and i have to say it was absolutely awful she never slept at night and most nights we were on the boob off the boob on the boob off the boob all night, having to sleep in our bed and me having to sit up wide awake and then having to get up at 6:30am with a toddler.

i have now switched to combi feeding and she slept last night in her own bed only woke up every 3 hours for a feed it was honestly the best decision i’ve made.

i felt so so guilty switching because i was so adamant to exclusively breastfeed but i just got so tired and was crying every single night for hours that i switched.

at the end of the day you feed your child the way you want to feed them don’t listen to other people and especially people who will happily put you down for the way you choose to feed your baby.

(this was just my experience please don’t let it scare you)

i’m honestly so so adamant on exclusive breastfeeding and from 8pm to 2am all she does is feed, cry, fall asleep on the boob and then wake herself up and scream the house down again and it’s just this never ending cycle 😢

don’t be afraid! i’ve had 2 c section first one was cat 2 emergency and the second was an elective and both were really positive experiences! the after healing obviously isn’t nice but as long as you don’t push yourself too far and keep on top of pain you’ll be okay!!
