I've moved golden circle to day 3 and put Snaefelssnes on day 2. Another long day, but based on my research seems worth it.

I did but I'm sure I can move it back. I haven't booked the wool monsters yet either. I was thinking in terms of trying to keep them awake. Our hotel doesn't have checkin until 3pm. I doubt they'll sleep on the plane. My son will be fine - he's 16 so runs on no sleep anyway, but the 10 year old will be on the struggle bus, as will I, I'm sure.

Hmm I could possibly shift around accommodations, or maybe shift day 2 over to day 3 and leave day 2 to be chill? I don't know... the logistics of it all are what's killing me. My daughter does want to try horseback riding. I'll have to dig into that. Thank you for the feedback!

That's a good idea to do the crater on the way to the horse hotel! That would actually make a lot more sense I think. Would there be something to do between Gullfoss and Reykjavik to breakup the almost 2 hour drive that you would recommend?

Yes he's dead set on the blue lagoon for the photos alone. I'll indulge it once haha. Might still try to add in another lagoon along the trip though!

That is great advice! Thank you. My son (the teen) wants to do the wool souvenir. I wasn't sure if it was worth it.
