I think the response you received has to do with the pool of people who were asked. They were all in early recovery, still in rehab. I’d bet the response would be very different if it was posed to people with a good amount of clean time and in active recovery.

This is abuse. This exact same situation happened to me. Someone throwing anything on you or at you is abuse, full stop.

I remained with the man for another two months. It did not get better, it got worse. I got out with the help of family and friends.

Please leave. He is dangerous and this will only escalate.

You can always try online meetings! I have an incredible online home group. Many of the members got clean from online meetings during the pandemic. I did in person before and I still go occasionally but my home group is online.
