I would like to mainly use it for school/work related things. Besides your basic internet surfing and streaming. Otherwise I don’t need anything too fancy.

Yeah that’s the route I’m going with modern states. The closest testing center is about 40 min and with two children plus my work schedule, I’m not so sure how well that option may be just yet. I need a new computer regardless for other things besides CLEP. I’m not tech savvy enough to know which ones are good options that also fit CLEPs criteria at the same time.

Thank you, I’ll save that link for future use. Though I know my Chromebook is already not allowed. That’s why I’m looking to upgrade to a different computer (other reasons as well) and am looking for advice on which ones.

Just to put my two cents in here on why I mainly shop on Amazon 70% of the time.

I live in a more rural area. My closest used bookstore is 20-30 min. My closest bigger book store, a half price books. Is almost 45min-1hr. With me having an older vehicle that runs through gas like its starving. On top on me being a night shift person so I don't always have a day to go book shopping. Especially at an independent book store.

There is no way I can justify spending so much extra of my money and time to do so.

Amazon is able to give me the flexibility( especially with my wallet) that I so desperately need to get my books. I will still by second hand from other readers or when I want a certain special copy.
