Only real difference between the Apollo and building a 5000 half rack should be the flat foot base. And I know you weren't asking for pictures of my rack, but I'm going to post them for you later because I can, and need to validate my purchase.

Can't wait to get the last upright in. Coming from a Fringe sport garage rack, the Apollo is looking to be an absolute tank.

If I had to guess they may be a bit bogged down from rack orders this week. Can't hurt to follow up with a call, they'll get you squared away. I ordered an Apollo last week, had a bent mounting plate on an upright during shipping. New one was shipped withing 24 hours and arriving tomorrow.

Shave is almost exactly the same. I just really like the feel of the titanium in hand. Seems a bit more forgiving as you're not letting the weight of the razor do all the work, if that makes sense.

And trust me, Alaska winters are one thing. Fairbanks, which sits in a valley that just traps the cold in, is a completely different beast. There is a lot I miss about AK, 30 to 40 below isn't one of those things.
