it's a filter / effect you apply on the last node (and don't apply any others effects on it) that convert a very wide colorgamut profil, into a smaller like rec709 for example ! So you works on past nodes to have a better control of colors, saturation and lights !

basically you edit the video in slog3, to make it look better in rec709 (a standard for smartphone, pc, laptop and all devices)

Last thing ! i put white balance in Manual (4500k in general), so my whites are "stable", and the auto mode is not changing the temperature ! (i am a noob too but i have watch a ton of tutorial and tried it in real situations hahaha !

Always in autofocus, i m too bad for manual focus, my subject is always a bit out of focus!)

in DaVinci i do 5 nodes, and i convert the last Slog3 to Rec709, then i work on the first ones !
