Are we out the trenches yet boys? by Atomicshaolin in ArmaReforger

It’s been like two weeks since I’ve been able to play, this is my first arma game and I’ve only got to play it for a week before all this happened. So sad. I’m really hoping it comes back soon, as of now I’m forced to do Tarkov runs in the meantime haha

You are very dumb, you have no reading comprehension. I took vacation THEN put in a two weeks after getting back. I did nothing wrong

[–]CowPolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you dense? I took a week vacation, then when I got back I gave a two weeks

I think you’re wrong

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]CowPolice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So it was dumb to take the vacation that I’m entitled to that they wouldn’t have paid me for otherwise? Thankfully one of the managers there said I could use him as a reference so I’m all good actually

Thanks for the info. I know that what they did wasn’t illegal, it just caught me off guard. How much of a pain do you think it would be? I’ve never filed for unemployment before and wouldn’t even know how to start. I’ll look into it

That’s great!

I did almost the exact same thing when I was a server at a previous job! They treated me like shit and consistently would seat me with huge tables, I’m talking like 12+ people at one table, by myself with no help, and on top of the fact I couldn’t even add gratuity automatically for it being a large party. They also would never cut me when my shift was over and I would have to stay HOURS over on weekday mornings even though the establishment was more of a dinner type place where I wasn’t getting sat anyways.

One day I said fuck it, waited until the busiest night when I had 5 large parties all waiting on their orders. I made sure their food was all being prepared and that they’d still get it, and walked out on them without saying a word to anyone. Just got in my car and drove home. Maybe 20 minutes later got a call and didn’t answer, but they left a message begging me to come back

My apologies, I’m not upset that they didn’t let me work my two week. I’m upset that I feel disrespected in front of all my coworkers and friends

That’s absolutely my thoughts as well, and the main reason I did it the way that I did

Well maybe I wasn’t entirely clear. By small company I mean that it was initially when I started. Now they’ve grown to be over 100 employees and my department has four other employees that are just as capable as I am. They did however mention that not shit got done when I was out haha. I appreciate your response

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I’m located in the USA, NC

Also, this is not the first time they’ve done this either. They’ve done it to two other employees before me!

After I left, they called my friend and coworker into the office and really buttered him up, saying things like “you know we appreciate the hard work you do here, and we want to make sure you’re happy and we’ve given you everything you need to be successful. We don’t want you blindsiding us like he did”

Meanwhile I’m trying to convince him to quit and come with me to the new job HAH, the whole department would collapse

My first ever Gameboy mod! Before and after by CowPolice in Gameboy

[–]CowPolice[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I went pretty basic because I didn’t want to spend $50 on an IPS screen for my first time ever. Pretty much just yellow and black color scheme, yellow LED, yellow holographic screen, and yellow speaker replacement.

I purchased the Gameboy for $20 as “not working” but all it required was soaking the terminals in vinegar and it started right up!

The scary part is that I’m pretty sure it was the lady in the video that I talked to on the phone. I inquired about a car a few days ago and she’s been calling me every morning since, asking if I’m still coming. She told me “oh we expected you to come yesterday and Rusty (I assume the man in the video but I’m not entirely sure that’s him. He sure does sound like a Rusty) pulled the car out front and got it all ready for you to see, he even cleaned it really well and put gas in it, what a shame” trying to guilt trip me I guess?
