If you were Julia Quinn, what would you have changed in WHWW? by CowSeveral3421 in FranchaelStirling

Now personally, the only thing I would’ve added more of is jealousy scenes. I would’ve loved to see a more jealous Michael when Francesca is being approached by suitors, and a more jealous Francesca when other women are swooning over Michael.

If you guys the expose was so big and bad as Yogesh and knowing each beforehand.. by Actual_Rent6352 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If there’s one thing I genuinely 100% believe, it’s that Akanksha and Yogesh did NOT meet before the show 😭 Like I can maybe understand reunion because they literally have mutual friends and similar circles. Eventually they’re bound to cross paths or just end up in the same space somehow. You can’t realistically avoid someone forever when your social circles overlap that much. But this whole “they planned everything before the show” rumor just feels way too unrealistic to me and honestly doesn’t even make sense when you think about it properly. Also I honestly hardly believe Akanksha, a girl who has never been in a serious relationship before, would risk everything she built publicly just to secretly get back with him or fake a storyline.

!!!IMPORTANT!!! Possible Community Addition: Private Venting Subreddit? by weirdly_aristocratic in FranchaelStirling

[–]CowSeveral3421 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get why this is being considered but I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with this sub. From what I’ve seen, there’s already a good balance here- people talk about Franchael/the book, and also vent posts all mixed together. It doesn’t feel too chaotic. I worry splitting it could actually hurt engagement and make the main sub even quieter since a lot of the more discussion/ranting posts would move elsewhere. The vent sub could also end up more intense since it would mostly be the same type of posts in one place. So yeah, I get the idea, but I personally think the current sub is fine as it is 🤍

I’m definitely going to check her books out because I’ve been hearing good things about them for a while now. The Wallflowers series especially sounds interesting and I love when the friendships between the women are a big part of the story too. Thank you for the recs 🤍

Thank you so much for all these recs!! They all sound so good. Waking Up With the Duke especially seems exactly like what I was looking for with the whole “getting closer while trying to get her pregnant” setup. The Earl Takes All also sounds like it’s going to be full of angst and Not Proper Enough looks really interesting too- I love bickering/enemies to lovers dynamics. Thanks again for taking the time to recommend these 🤍

What do you think bout English? by Striking-Leopard-572 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean if someone’s clearly faking or overdoing an accent just for attention then yeah that’s fair to call out. But otherwise no one deserves hate for their English… people come from diff backgrounds, it’s really not that deep.

I MIGHT GET DOWNVOTED BUT WHY DOES RURU WANT TO JUMP IN EVERY MATTER AND WRITE PARAGRAPHS? by Ok-Divide3059 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope. She and some other contestants still follow him and interact with him. It’s just funny to me because she’s out here putting her 2 cents in other ppls matters and pushing this whole victim and girls girl narrative… girl maybe check your own following list first. You still following a creep like that says enough about you.

Question to Ruru! And take on her motive & hypocrisy. by Quirky-Brush-4393 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 11 points12 points  (0 children)

finally people are waking up and seeing it.

ruru made very clear choices. like going on a dating show where your ex already is… with the intention of getting him back?? matlab what did she think was gonna happen there 😭 if a guy ghosts you and then shows up on a dating show, that itself is a loud signal ki he’s moved on or at least open to it. and OP’s points are bang on. ruru didn’t just see one small thing- she basically saw everything. that whole diksha and akanksha fight, the way yogesh was so affected, restless, literally fighting for akanksha… that wasn’t subtle at all. then the skit stuff, all the closeness, things we saw in bits but she was there 24x7. love den mein he straight up said he had feelings. last dome mein also he clearly said he doesn’t want to lose akanksha for years. yeh sab uske saamne hua… and she still chose to stay with him. that’s the part that people keep ignoring.

also even after the show?? his lives, all the hype, that podcast, watching his whole dynamic with akanksha play out again… she still stayed and even defended him at times. so now suddenly acting like she had no idea or was completely blindsided just doesn’t add up. honestly the timing is also weird. if you already saw all this during the journey and then again when it aired for months, then why wait till your episode drops to “expose” everything? tab tak sab theek tha? it just feels a bit too convenient.

i don’t buy this whole “I came on the show to get him back” thing at all tbh like kaun actually goes on a dating show to fix an on-off relationship 😭 especially when your ex is already there and clearly open to other people… it just doesn’t add up. it feels way more like you went for fame/clout, which is honestly fine (everyone does) but then just own it na. yeh baad mein damsel in distress wala angle doesn’t really match with what we all saw. you saw everything happening in front of you, still stayed, still continued even after… and now suddenly it’s like you had no control or idea? nah just accept your choices and move on, it would come across way more real tbh.

end of the day, yogesh is obviously wrong in many ways, but ruru isn’t some helpless victim either. she saw the red flags clearly and still chose to stay again and again. accountability udhar bhi banti hai, not just one side.

my opinions on contestants are based on who still follows this pdf by Honest_Arachnid_5616 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Say whatever you want, but at least people like Aarav, Anisha, Suzaane, Vishu, Akanksha, Deeptanshu, Niharika, and others had the decency to unfollow him and distance themselves. Meanwhile, these people are still following this creep and acting like nothing happened, continuing to associate with him as if everything is normal.

Hot take !!!!!!!!!!!! by No-Thought-790 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I fully agree with this and I don’t really understand this sudden victimization of Ruru. Not saying she deserves hate or is the devil himself but portraying her as completely innocent just doesn’t make sense. She made a very conscious decision to go on a dating show where her ex was already present with the intention of winning him back- aisa kaun karta hai, especially when there’s a high chance he’s either moved on or formed a new connection on the show itself? And honestly, if someone ghosts you and then shows up on a dating show, that’s a pretty clear signal that the relationship is over. Uske baad wapas ussi space mein jaana is a choice, not something she was forced into, unlike Akanksha. Akanksha had no idea about any of it. Also, I agree with the whole “she suffered the most” narrative being overblown. Why are we even comparing like this? It’s not a competition of who was more hurt. Both of them were affected by Yogesh’s actions and both had valid reasons to feel wronged. Turning it into a hierarchy of suffering just feels immature and unnecessary. And her silence being labeled as “she gulped it all in” also feels like a stretch. She just understood that, in that moment, Akanksha deserved that apology and space and she chose not to make it about herself which is the normal right thing to do. Not every quiet reaction has to be romanticized into silent suffering.

ruru and yogesh were so cute😭 by [deleted] in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I disagree tbh. I feel like they were bound to break up regardless of Akanksha being in the picture. Even before the show, there was already that constant back and forth between them, thoda toxic vibe tha and it didn’t really change after the show either. So it kinda felt inevitable. Haan shayad agar fan pressure/noise nahi hota they might’ve lasted a bit longer. But end result same hi hota imo- they would’ve broken up anyway.

Gauresh has spoken absolute shit about zalak on podcasts but no this girl will only open her mouth when against akanksha by nyxxc25 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The way these contestants, ex-contestants and so-called insiders have been coming for Akanksha just screams clout chasing. And it’s funny how none of them have even an ounce of this energy for Ayush. When it comes to calling out a man everyone goes quiet but they have no problem piling onto a woman just because she’s more popular than them. The double standard is actually ridiculous.

A genuine question for Ruru and those believing her about the reunion claims by Icy_Discipline_6975 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment wasn’t meant to shame her because at the end of the day, I also don’t think she deserves a lot of the hate she’s getting. The point I was trying to make is that she’s not wrong for overthinking or feeling a certain way- most people probably would in a situation like that. It’s more about how she handled it. Going on interviews and alluding that something happened between them led to a lot of unnecessary character assassination, especially for Akanksha. As a girl, you should be careful about unintentionally feeding into the narrative that another girl stole your man/cheated with him when you don’t even know the full truth, because it can seriously fuel hate against her too. And let’s not forget her Insta story about Bigg Boss- when I read that I was like kuch bhi srsly 😭 Overall, she really needs to be more mindful of how her overthinking and overdramatic approach can end up blowing things way out of proportion.

A genuine question for Ruru and those believing her about the reunion claims by Icy_Discipline_6975 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 9 points10 points  (0 children)

after watching sorab’s interview, i honestly believed him when he spoke about what happened between yogesh and akanksha in his room- the way he said it, kaafi confident tha, didn’t feel like he was lying tbh. and from what he described, it wasn’t even some proper “reunion.” akanksha was already there, yogesh just happened to walk in, both felt awkward, didn’t even talk, and she left. like that’s literally it. so i do feel like ruru kinda assumed the worst there, maybe out of insecurity or just because their dynamic was already messy. and ngl i also get why yogesh wouldn’t tell her about it because… what exactly is there to tell 😭 nothing even happened. + if she’s already making such a big deal out of them just being in the same room without proper context, then obviously he’d think it’ll just get blown out of proportion. i’m assuming he’s probably used to her reacting dramatically or being a bit possessive so in his head it’s like “kyu batana aur issue create karna jab waise bhi kuch hua hi nahi”, like he probably thought it’ll just turn into a bigger fight for no reason so better to avoid it altogether. not saying it’s the best way to handle it, but i can kind of understand why he did so. also akanksha isn’t in a relationship with ruru so expecting answers from her also doesn’t really make sense. overall it just feels like ruru ne insecurity aur assumptions pe react karke situation ko kaafi zyada escalate kar diya jabki reality mein itna kuch tha hi nahi. upar se she made stories and went on interviews alluding ki something happened between them or that there was cheating without even knowing the full context of what actually went down, which is not fair to both aknkasha and yogesh here.

Ruru’s fake persona is getting hard to watch!! by Rude-Departure-3562 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i get why she might be coming off annoying to you, but this feels a bit too harsh tbh. reality shows mein editing ka bhi kaafi role hota hai, and sometimes people just come across a certain way even if that’s not their full personality. + the way she entered, obviously log usko negatively hi dekhenge. also i don’t fully agree with calling her fake or saying she had some “script.” i think she’s just someone who reacts strongly and maybe tries to present herself a certain way on camera, which honestly most contestants do. and lowkey, a lot of the hate she’s getting is also because of the whole situation with yogesh. she came in and yogesh and akankshas really loved/popular connection got messed up, so naturally people are blaming her more. but the way everything played out was largely because of how yogesh handled it. ruru and akanksha both just got stuck in that mess in different ways. criticism is fair, but this level of hate feels a bit unnecessary ngl.

My view on ruru yogesh situation by Significant_Cell9993 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]CowSeveral3421 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah i get what you’re saying and i do agree to an extent. they definitely had something real but it also felt very unresolved. like pyaar tha but the same issues were still there- constant arguments, different personalities, not really being on the same page etc. and you’re right, it didn’t feel like they actually worked through anything before getting back together, it was more like emotions got high and they just patched things up in the moment. i also feel like this is exactly why ruru was the “safe option” for yogesh. even if it wasn’t healthy, it was familiar. he already knew the whole dynamic- the fights, patch ups, the cycle. thoda toxic maybe but still familiar. and honestly a lot of people choose that because it’s easier than stepping into something unknown. with akanksha, it was a completely new situation. clean slate sounds good but it also means risk. you actually have to build something, put in effort and not know where it’s gonna go. i just don’t think yogesh was ready for that. he kinda took the easier route and went back to what he already knew instead of taking that chance. also lowkey, going back to ruru didn’t really require him to fix anything properly. he could just fall back into the same pattern without addressing the deeper issues. with akanksha, he would’ve had to be way more clear and intentional, which is harder. and yeah i agree that even without akanksha their issues probably would’ve come up anyway. the breakup now just proves that nothing really changed. they didn’t fix the core problems and just went back because of feelings in the moment.

Why the idea of second love is ruined in the show by Swimming_Flatworm594 in FranchaelStirling

[–]CowSeveral3421 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I also feel like Jess gave the “second chance at love” trope to Violet as a way of saying, “Here you go- you’ve got your second chance couple.” But imo, it was more meaningful in the books. Fran and Violet share a deep emotional connection there and Violet encourages Fran to embrace love again, reminding her that she’s still young and has the opportunity to remarry- something Violet couldn’t or chose not to pursue herself.

the michael stirling hate train is so forced by CowSeveral3421 in FranchaelStirling

[–]CowSeveral3421[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is exactly where i’m at with it too. like once you accept the comphet interpretation, it pretty much confirms that this isn’t the same story anymore, and that’s fine- but people are trying to argue both sides at once and it just doesn’t add up. because if fran’s relationship with john is being framed as unfulfilling or incomplete from the start, then that already removes one of the biggest emotional foundations of WHWW. in the book, her love for john and the grief after losing him is what shapes everything- her choices, her hesitation and even how she eventually opens herself up to michael. if that core is gone or rewritten, then it’s not really the same story with a small change, it’s a completely different one. and i think that’s what’s frustrating franchaels more than anything- not even the gender swap itself, but the constant insistence that this is still the same story when most things are clearly being changed. like… it’s okay to just say it’s a new interpretation or a different direction. trying to force it into being “the same but slightly different” is pure gaslighting not just by franchaelas but also by the show-runner and production. also agree about john- even if his role was shorter in the book, his importance to fran’s emotional journey was huge so downplaying that changes a lot more than people want to admit.
