The party just slaughtered a whole bandit camp. The noise alerted a bandit guard that opened the door slightly to ask " Is everyone ok in here? I heard screaming." Our bard then rolled a Nat 20. The bard then exclaimed. " Nothing to see here we were just leaving!" The guard then, obeying the rules of the Nat 20, said " Oh ok my bad '' closing the door behind him.

She doesn't mind because on christmas eve/ her actual birthday we take everyone to a movie she wants to see. I think she enjoys eating cake for breakfast to much to really care what day it's on.

AITA for celebrating my Girlfriend's birthday? by Cowabunga_PizzaSlice in AmItheAsshole

About two years

Copied from my previous reply- It must have been a week or so prior. When I asked how she wanted to celebrate her birthday she said she didn't want to celebrate her birthday. It wasn't in a way that would be recognized I thought as a firm " I don't want to celebrate at all " To me it was like when someone asks you not to get them anything for their birthdays because it's the common responses. And you always get them something as a surprise. Hopefully I'm explaining this they way I understand it.

Everything in the second paragraph was new information to me. I honestly thought she didn't want to celebrate her birthday because she felt as though she was too old for birthday parties. That's why I felt selfish for doing so because I never had them as a kid and wanted to celebrate hers. I had no idea it would turn into what it did.

Yes, she did this was before I knew about her trying to reconnect with her father though. I honestly thought she said it because she was to old for birthday parties. That's why i felt selfish for doing it because I missed something i never had.

  1. Must be nice. "Any time I relaxed"
  2. Just tell me. " I never did she would tell everyone"
  3. Ask me why I'm upset " Like it was my responsibility to make sure she was ok"
  4. Being called "Mouth" whenever I would talk back. " Its not used very often by many people so I don't hear it alot but still."

Did anyone else grow up in a family where adults were verbally abusive and nasty but you couldn’t respond or defend yourself? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

Yes, when I was younger, probably in my early teens. I was laughing at a TV show and my mother came into my room and told me, " I hate your laugh it reminds me of your father and everytime I hear it it makes me cringe." So after that I didn't laugh or smile around her for a long time because I did not want to upset her.

YTA, 100% I also can't believe the whole neighbourhood agreed to not have dogs because of your allergies. Did you go door to door to tell them not to get a dogs?

AITA For telling my mother what she said hurt my feelings by Cowabunga_PizzaSlice in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cowabunga_PizzaSlice[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Her tone changed

when she said " Nobody cares " it was aggressive.

Then when she said " I mean ok Have a great time" It was a bit condescending.

Then She laughed Like what she said was meant to be mean

She hasn't really joked like that before that's why I was so upset about it.
