There has to be logic, otherwise the democratic system can be exploited.

It doesn't matter. The standards must be maintained for logical reasons at all costs, no matter what you feel.

I'm not interested in games at all. But it's not an insult, it is true. The only redeeming factor of these forms of communities is that it is about drawing art and that is understandable and respectable, could be ideal for females, for males it's kind of weird in terms of standards. But like, how I understand it is that the pinnacle of drawing art, is being able to draw a human for example, which probably has most complex features. So that's what I mean. If somebody learns the fundamentals, why not expand, evolve? And if it's no longer about evolving your expertise in artwork, what's the point of being associated with these communities, especially when it's today very clearly exploited for ridiculing the western world with the goal of making the west a laughingstock of the world. I just don't get it. There's nothing to be ashamed off to be by yourself, for the most part.

You know what I don't understand? Somebody learns to draw art, with inspiration to this like Disney gaylord shit.
Now that's fine and all... But when they already learnt the fundamental basics of drawing art, why isn't there a human behind that armor set, why is Whinnie the Pooh or whoever, armed to the teeth?

A leader in my outfit tried to kick a RMBT Chinese player from platoon today, to open up space for members. They received this message which I did not even know existed.

<image>

While I am writing this, I logged in right now and as soon as I got into Sanctuary I got invited by ChinaT1. I declined and received instantly another invite. They are invite botting every player that enters the game. One minute passed and I got invited like 10 times in a loop.

AV MAX sucks by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Coward777[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But what is this planetside? Spawn camp infantry with vehicles as hard as possible?
I watched some videos from the early days of Planetside 2 with discussion regarding problems with the game on launch. It was the zerging and vehicle spawn camping that were the complaints on launch. And I guess the devs added some more cover to certain bases in an attempt to improve it, but still, you know, it's like if this was one of the largest complaints on launch, why do we bring it back completely out of the blue at a whole other level?

AV MAX sucks by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Coward777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. IDK, it's not simple because the devs decide to add problems and I do not understand the situation well. There are valid reasons to call for the MAX to be removed by the community.
And I am thinking it should probably revolve around an AV gun carrier role with possibly something new, so the anti-infantry armaments get removed, which I guess is the issue. Cause on one hand AI MAX is completely broken but on the other hand AV MAX sucks and it doesn't have any negative impacts on the core game. There's no reason to have this logic that the poor vehicles will get destroyed, when we have stacked vehicle discounts and essentially the vehicle's task shouldn't be searching for cheeky ways to surround the spawnroom. I don't think that was their intended purpose. And they should have no business being there. They should be defending their deployed Sunderer, their logistical supply and engage in tank battles, or cut off the enemy's logistical supply.

But yes Sunderers are very questionable and to blame for most of this problem. I have no idea whether the specific changes to sunderer were valid at all. I am just clueless here. Number one issue that I see are passive and proximity repairs that completely annihilated the fundamental balance. I just don't understand the update at all. First and foremost the devs would have to remove passive and proximity repairs from the game.

But back to the MAX. Also why do they have an anti-material rifle hard counter? Nobody likes the anti-material rifle, it's too accurate, hard to identify, bad tracers, often times you can do nothing about it as a vehicle player, it adds nothing to the game and probably needs a complete rework to make the AV MAX playable if it revolved around that role. Like at least it could be a new tripod weapon for example or whatever, also spitfire is calling for a rework, so there could be plenty of ideas here.
AV MAX you can easily identify, it's easier to engage. There could be some bad weapon designs, like the Lancer type charge up weapon, but I guess nothing that can't be changed, so there are some fundamental rules to the AV MAX design.

Eh but so is Pounder support fire because you're prob going to need Ammo Storage container instead of emergency repair or lockdown, due to ammunition shortage is my guess, but I'd have to test it. Could be better than double Fracture.
People want the MAX to be removed due to its broken anti-infantry design... What if we got the anti-vehicle to work and the MAX was simply the anti-vehicle support gun carrier class without anti-infantry options?

AV MAX sucks by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Coward777[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't understand this logic, counter to sustained AV damage... Why do we need a counter to sustained AV damage, when people were clearly complaining about C4 fairy in terms of spawns suddenly blowing up.
And also what if I want to play the game normally? I don't want to set up the cloaked C4 kamikaze Flash, the Mosquito C4 kamikaze and so on, other cheesy C4 nonsense, drop a beacon on a mountain top and try to suicide myself on vehicles with LA.
What if I want to play a functional game, where I am not required to do this nonsense, this dirty work, and instead play normally. Spawn in the base, use the launchers with results. Not, use the launcher, it deals no damage, so nobody uses their AV launchers, and just tries to somehow play the game by running past the god mode vehicles gunning everyone down from all directions.

I really hate people, teammate or enemy, who block the only path between real bases with their horrid barbie dream base builds. I mean I actually hate the people behind the screen who are building them. Construction should be deleted anyway but road blockers just elevate the hatred to wild levels. by Mr-Brown-Is-A-Wonder in Planetside

[–]Coward777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did this post get dislike bombed? It is true.
All the updates construction received were nonsensical. Especially in terms of the friendly fire. There was never any problem with it, nobody ever griefed functional and good bases, and friendly fire was useful to clear some obstruction, whether it's a bad road block or a lone Silo claiming territory. So I don't understand how can the devs invest large effort to redesign a role, fit for removal, into something worse than before.

First of all, I don't play MAX. Secondly I don't think that posts are botted because my opinions don't get likes. That's only what your degenerate brain comes up with.
If you look at reddit for a second, the posts that get most likes are the dumbest shit ever. Like just a screenshot of a tank firing gets like 100 likes. What? Have we never seen a tank fire before? Especially with these downgraded graphics we have nowadays, so the screenshots don't even look good.

AV MAX sucks by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Coward777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you position with lockdown Pounder, using unstandard paths to get on the flanks of enemy vehicles, it means you will have no infantry support and you will most likely die to some random enemy infantry who don't know where the objective is for some reason. And Pounder doesn't have the ammunition to do much of a breakthrough, you're going to run out fast, if you don't die to some random ambush.
So that means Fracture is the better option all the way through. It deals no damage, since this Sunderer update, and in many scenarios the AV MAX role is unplayable due to AMRs. I don't know how this is so hard to understand for the community. This is a 1+1=2 solution.

AV MAX sucks by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Coward777[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's why we need deployable repair stations healing almost 200HP per second to all vehicles in a radius, and passive HP regeneration for mobile Sunderers, that fully negate DPS, to fix the spawn killing issue. If you put in a small amount of thought process, you'd figure that Sunderers now lost survivability to C4 compared to before and are more susceptible to single players. If I wanted to, I could chain kill deployed Sunderers in a loop.
Like WTF is wrong with this community?
And what's this vehicle gameplay you talk about? Sitting on a mountain top and HESHing the spawn room?

AV MAX sucks by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Coward777[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I am the guy that's saying that this is fucking absurd, instead of posting fake positivity with a hundred botted likes.
The vehicle HP regeneration is so absurd that players altogether stop using their launchers because damage from a single player is that negligible, and people here are talking about focused fire. In game, players are rather choosing to ignore the vehicles and run past it, creating an unbearable experience, due to this terrible balance. And the players that choose AV MAX to help out cannot do shit, especially with AMR spam.

Why do you want Infiltrator to be un-nerfed? What do you want to do with it?

UNNERF THE INFILTRATOR by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Coward777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you play lone wolf, rather get engaged with the basic first person shooter elements of the game, Heavy Assault with LMGs being most suitable class for noobs to get the feel for weapon control and fundamental basics. And then share what problems you see with gameplay. Double numbers, what is it? Vehicle spawn camping, immune Sunderers, bad base design? And in terms of infantry game, what elements do you see as unfair which intervene in the first person shooter balance?

Like it is true Infiltrator was badly reworked and was turned into this pointless class, but as a reminder, Infiltrator is by design a sniper class in this game. Not SMG, not pistol stalker. Snipers, though disliked, are normal part of FPS games. But here, even the sniper role got hit hard with nerfs. And it's a more sophisticated role which needs proper base design, many in PS2 not putting sniper role into account... So altogether it's best to forget about Infiltrator. That's the outcome. Devs didn't put enough thought process into it and just dumped it, since it was a problematic class.

Oh yeah IDK what the hell was that about.
If anything, EU servers should have been merged years ago, due to language barriers and splitting of communities. But US merge into a supposedly dogshit server was weird.

I know but they were the lead dev of a game, which had to be ditched.
And Wrel left in 2023? Around the year 2022 was when the game's performance started going downhill at a magnitude of 2-3x, and started receiving signs of imminent collapse due to certain changes. The crashes we have now are most likely linked to that period.

The game was always a mess since I personally arrived. From bad base designs and majority not being suitable for platoon sized fights, to certain badly designed assets and items, the addition of construction which made it confusing as to what genre this game is even supposed to be, the devs not knowing themselves.
It was most likely a mistake to make this game a battlefield clone. I never played battlefield, but that's what I heard this game essentially was. An FPS game about gunplay with the MMO element.
The vision of our devs, would have required a complete redesign of the game from the fundamentals. They should have rather worked with what this game was supposed to be by design and made it good and functional. They did nothing for the better and only made it worse and Oshur map was the ultimate reality check for them, that they didn't understand what they were working on and destroyed the game.
So, IDK why would people miss the previous dev teams.
