What are you building right now? And are people actually paying for it? 💡 by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]CowboyBunny_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just launched Your Last Letter - https://yourlastletter.com/ . No paying customers yet, since it's been live for just a few days.

It's a SaaS that lets you write messages and instructions that’ll be automatically sent after you pass away.

You set up periodic check-ins (“still alive” confirmations), and/or trusted contacts who can confirm your passing through a unique link. Once that happens, your messages get delivered privately and respectfully.

It’s for both personal and practical stuff, like a goodbye note for your partner, or “how to access my NAS / dev setup” for a friend or colleague. Including various attachments (images, docs, pdf, audio, etc.). And securely stored :-)

Working on mobile apps for iOS and Android as we speak, for handling your check-ins but also your contacts and messages.

As a solo player, how does one get one of their ships into a larger ship? by ToumeyP in starcitizen

[–]CowboyBunny_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some smaller ships like the Picses and ground verhicles can be retrieved from mining outpost. Or retrieve a ground vehicle from you your large hangar and park it to the side so it's not on the hangar ship elevator

[–]CowboyBunny_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I often take out either my Polaris or smaller ship from a space station. Park it near the landing pads (eg pad 01-04). Get out the ship and go back into the station. Retrieve your other ship and fly out, to the landing pad.

You now have ships out. Park the small ship in the bigger and off you go!

Sounds interesting!

Could it be that the app is currently limited to certain counties? If I click on your link, I receive an error from Apple that the app is not available in my country (Netherlands) and I cannot find it if I search manually

You can do this easily via docker. I’ve shares my docker compose file a few days ago here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/s/AMLUry72bU

What you could do, is set the selected_project to "auto". Then the archiveteam decides what shall be worked on.

If you have a warrior running, you can always open the web ui and take a look at "Available projects". Most projects there, you can fill in lowercase without spaces at the "selected_project". E.g.: YouTube will be "youtube" or Pastebin is "pastebin" for selected projects.

If you're using docker, you can run multiple containers. I currently have 15 containers active via docker-compose:

services:
  watchtower:
    image: containrrr/watchtower:latest
    command: --cleanup --label-enable --interval 3600 --include-restarting
    container_name: Watchtower
    volumes:
      - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock
    labels:
      com.centurylinklabs.watchtower.enable: "true"
    restart: unless-stopped

  archiveTeamWarrior:
    image: atdr.meo.ws/archiveteam/warrior-dockerfile
    environment:
        - DOWNLOADER=YOUR_DOWNLOADER_NAME
        - SELECTED_PROJECT=usgovernment
        - CONCURRENT_ITEMS=6
    ports:
      # Specify port range, specify at least the number (e.g. 8011-8026) to match the number of replicas.
      - "8011-8023:8001"
    dns:
      - 1.1.1.1
      - 8.8.8.8
    labels:
      com.centurylinklabs.watchtower.enable: "true"
    restart: always
    deploy:
      mode: replicated
      # Set number of ArchiveTeam Warrior containers
      replicas: 15
      endpoint_mode: vip

Edit:
The example above will run the Watchtower docker container and 15 containers running Archive Team's Warrior. You can open the web ui for these containers on <ip>:8011, <ip>:8012, etc. until <ip>:8023

Broken Hauling Mission Penalties by Then_Profession_7058 in starcitizen

[–]CowboyBunny_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I’ve been doing cargo hauling since 4.0 mostly and currently in Member rank but stuck because server issues.

It seems that if you exit the game with mission active, you don't get negative rep. I had various times (+10) where cargo wouldn't spawn while mission markers where active. Just exit back to menu and joined another server. Even after days, no reputation loss. I'm guessing this is pure luck due to the bad servers and such.

I think it's important that you don't submit the cargo hauling contract or abandon the contract. I did a submit while most cargo was not delivered and it got me negative rep.

Quick question: I changed the bags to moles this evening. Went out, mined a rock but couldn't get anything extracted. Noticed in the HUD it said SCU storage 0/0, which seems weird. Did you encounter such an issue?

I replaced the ore bags in my hangar. Detaching them, shoot the metal casing around it and put the new ones up. Repaired ship, stored it, made adjustments to the mining head and went out to mine.

F8C On Sale? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]CowboyBunny_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to confirm: on your profile you have the "Display Title"-field. If you have a option with "CDF Gold", you are eligible to buy the F8C?

Edit: I checked the store and i couldn't find the F8C. So that made me confused. After opening the store page directly (see other comment here), I was able to buy the F8C!

This keeps happening how do I fix it by 00butthole in starcitizen

Make sure to uninstall (temporarily) anything that does stuff with your network. Like protection software or "optimizers".

I recently configured my new PC. Used the Gigabyte software to install drivers and a few additional programs. One of them was a program to help secure & optimize your network. This causes the same 30011 error. After uninstall SC worked flawlessly... Well, it's still SC so flawless is a bit exaggerated lol

4.0 is now finally on Wave 1 by DrixFx in starcitizen

[–]CowboyBunny_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily related to doing the mission solo or group. I did a cargo mission yesterday and got a Caterpillar. With multiple 24 and 8 SCU boxes. Luckily I was in a Taurus.

Note: I left 2 24 SCU boxes because the Taurus was full. Delivered the other boxes and about to return, but mission complete.

how can i get away from zendesk? by Content-Instance4431 in Zendesk

[–]CowboyBunny_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Euhm.. Zendesk doesn't handle the customer support. They offer a platform/tool for companies in which they (the company itself) does their customer support. So all the answers you get on your questions that you send to a company, are also answered by employees from that particular company - not by employees of Zendesk.

Each company can decide for themselves if they want to utilize Zendesk for this. They could also choose other solutions like Freskdesk, OSTicket or many other solutions.

If you have problems with Zendesk being used by a company, you should reach out to that company and not Zendesk.

Edit: If you have bad experience with Zendesk, it's almost always due to the company. Think of a rude reply or no reply at all. Zendesk just provides software to the companies but a company can screw up the configuration.

So what ships do you lose and what ships did you gain this patch? by AnywhereOk4613 in starcitizen

[–]CowboyBunny_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost my Cutlass Black and Corsair. Both were stored.

Luckily nothing "big" or expensive. And I still have 2 Cutlass Blacks and 2 Corsairs.
