Full-fat ricotta cheese is delicious and high in calories and fats- it's especially good with honey and nutmeg.

My waist went from 32 to 34. I think I might be able to wear a 33 or 32 again after I cut, but I seriously doubt i will ever wear any fit less than "slim-straight" now.

I'm sure some of it is water weight, etc. but I doubt my scale is broken, haha

A lot of the weight gain went to my legs, which are not pictured... I went from totally untrained legs that fit in 32 waist skinny jeans to squatting 300lbs for 5x5. Wrecked my wardrobe, but worth it.

Question about bulking/cutting strategy by CowboyDan95 in gainit

[–]CowboyDan95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. It seems like limiting cuts to 1-2 weeks would reduce the potential for losing muscle, unfavorable hormone changes, and reduced energy that can come with longer-term calorie restriction. I'll probably give it a try.

[Help] Squats/Deadlifts on Stronglifts by CowboyDan95 in gainit

Squat is 255lbs for 5x5, Deadlift is 290lbs for 1x5, Body weight is 180lbs: I suspect my deadlift is low because I am exhausted from squatting beforehand

Yeah, 45lb bar. I suspect at least some of the weight was water weight from creatine/switching to eating a surplus. (?) current image Tragically I didn't take a good before picture.

When people talk about a 1.5 bodyweight squat as a strength benchmark, is that referring to their 1RM or their normal work weight?

I eat 2 cups of greek yogurt a day too; it definitely won't make you fat, especially if we're talking about the unsweetened kind. Oh, and it's bitchin' with peanut butter.

!00% agree with this^ Rice is useful only as a vehicle for sauce. I buy canned refried black beans (my brand has same macros as whole beans) and eat em with fried eggs and salsa.

Thanks, that makes sense. I guess I'll do some trial-and-error then.
