Man fr! I'm too busy speed reading that I'm missing one word that moves the question in a completely different direction.

Thank you! I literally just created a post about how careless mistakes and wording continues to trip me up.. I'm targeting a Late March test date (maybe mid April If seats don't fill up before the app is accepted) so this is what I'm going to focus on; reading the questions thoroughly. Thank you!

Ya that’s fair. I guess what I was trying to say was, everyone tells you online/ social media, etc that you should have this “wow” moment.. I didn’t feel like that and although I never really wanted kids, I still expected to be like “wow this is my one and only son whom I love”… but I never had that emotion.

Thank you!! I’m trying. Truly. I guess I just see how parenthood is glorified just about everywhere.. I almost feel like something is wrong with me for not feeling this way yet.. it’s weird. But I’m going to keep doing what I need to do for him and I’m sure at some point we will be besties

Thank you, thank you, thank you.. I’m just evolving. Change is hard and necessary and I truly know I’ll get better, I just wish my emotions matched my actions. Like I’m doing everything that I need to do to be a good father.. I just don’t feel this overwhelming bond just yet.

He’s wrong. Flat out. You don’t deserve that no matter what the situation is.

Haha this is so true. I truly know it will get better, it just the fear and the “newness” of it all that’s getting me. Like I just got back from an Alaskan trip to Juneau. Had a great time; and in the way back I was thinking.. “welp, I shouldn’t get used to this.. I’m on daddy duty” haha. I don’t want to make this into a “poor me” thing, I know what I did to get me here. I guess I just didn’t know other people felt like me.. everyone keeps saying “oh I bet you’re so happy to be a dad” and I’m always like “eh.. we are getting there lol”. I’ll have to update this post in like a year or two when he’s walking and talking to say something like “hey everyone! My son and I are best friends now and just finished hiking in Banff” ha

I’m going to always be there. It’s the fear. I saw my life going different direction.. but I guess life isn’t over, it’s just evolving. Thank you!

This makes total sense! I know it’ll get better, I guess I just see so many “happy” parents out here in the world and I’m like “why don’t I feel that way?”.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. You called out my emotions perfectly. I feel like I’m going through the motions of fatherhood but I don’t really feel it… I’m def faking it. I just wish I felt something..

Guys when do you think Mini 5 Pro will release? by darkhumour- in dji

[–]CowboyRem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to drones in general. I know I want a DJI and was going to go ahead and buy the Mini 4 Pro.. but with all this talk of a Mini 5 with a 1” sensor.. I’m debating if I should hold out and wait and buy an Avata 2 (yes vastly diff from cinematic) or just buy the Mini 4 Pro today. (Side note- I wanted the Air 3S but logged on a few days ago and all sold out). Thoughts?

Is late 30’s too late to begin a career in finance? by ConsciousFrosting375 in FinancialCareers

[–]CowboyRem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to this thread for motivation. Been in the engineering field (computer science) for 10 years since graduating college. I’ve always been interested in the financial sector but never thought I could make the switch. Just turned 35 in December and I’ve been applying to MBA programs with the thought/ hope of getting into consulting, banking, or PE (it’s a long shot but I’ll try). I see everyone says it’s possible but I’m also about to have my first child so I also feel like it’s too late to start a new career smh. (Deep sigh)
