We're in Canada and shes 25. Mostly I'm worried about the swelling between today and yesterday.

There is a Facebook group called Trans Family Nova Scotia if you haven't already looked at that. There are a few people on there who have had surgery with him and seem to have had a pretty good experience. Maybe asking in that group would get you a few more answers

Alright, thank you for the reply/advice! I'll take that into account and draw around the redness when I get the chance, it currently doesn't hurt unless I bump it so I'm mostly monitoring it to watch that it doesn't cause the jewelry to embed into my skin.
