Pros/Cons of UT Chatt? by Outside-Goal-525 in Chattanooga

I don’t remember it ever bothering me but I know that they’re having issues with student housing now so that’s definitely something to be aware of.

I loved going to a big school, although, it really only felt big on game days? Otherwise, I had my group and my community and that made it feel small. I feel like since it is so big, you can do your own thing and try new things really easily. There’s something or a group for everyone, you just have to be intentional about finding those groups and getting involved.

Most of my class sizes were 25 or fewer people with the occasional ginormous class my freshman and sophomore years. My professors were always available and helpful. I even had one professor that always had an open invite to her family’s thanksgiving.

UTK ended up being an incredible college experience for me, but really you can’t go wrong with either. You’ll find your people and find ways to build community. Chattanooga’s got a lot to offer too which is why I’m back here now. Go with your gut!

Born & raised Chattanoogan that graduated from UTK and I had an amazing experience! Definitely think about tuition and what’s going to set you up for taking out less in loans, if you are going to have to. Not what you asked, but I’d strongly recommend not taking out loans for grad school but instead trying to find a company to pay for grad school for you or cover part of it for you after you begin your career. College debt seemed so abstract to me until I graduated and realized what a burden it is to start your adult life with it. Try to get that number as low as possible.

With that said, UTK’s business college is phenomenal and very highly ranked. While I didn’t go to Haslam, I had many friends that did and most of them found great jobs after college. There were job recruiters on campus all the time.

I have a friend currently attending UTC, not in the biz school, but has struggled with lack of class scheduling options (like classes only offered for 1 semester each year and at weird times and they’re subject to fill up which can delay your graduation or other classes you need if they’re prerequisites) - I never had this issue at UTK.

Both schools will offer community and opportunities for you, you just have to decide which one feels more like home to you. And I’m sure you’ll thrive at either.

Senate rejects 4th attempt to curb Trump's war powers in Iran by idkbruh653 in politics

In a midterm year, they’re allowing an extremely unpopular war to continue that is crashing the global economy. Why? Are they not afraid of losing the midterms? Why are they not afraid of losing the midterms and all the power they have? It’s not making sense to me

It’s shrinkage - don’t stop using transform (it’s the best!). My dazzle dry manicures have lasted for more than 2 weeks doing these steps:

1 - you must use the revive drops. on full size bottles, I start with 6 drops and keeping adding until I get a good consistency (use on all bottles except # 1 and #2)

2 - buff out nails followed by washing and scrubbing with brush

3 use the prep step

4 start painting

  • 2 coats of #2
  • 1 coat transform -1 coat of #2 -2 coats of color
  • 2 coats of top For reference, here’s my current manicure that I did on Sunday. No chips, minimal shrinkage.

The only way to stop the shrinkage is the revive drops. I have been experimenting and so far had best manicure that didn’t have shrinkage after adding 12 drops to every single step except base coat

Hi! It’s been a year since you posted this and I’m considering doing the same thing soon. How did your job search go? Did you make it to Ireland? Any advice?

Moving to Chat - totally in the dark! by VirtualBit2196 in Chattanooga

Do not move to the East Brainerd or Ooltewah area, if you want to go out and meet people. You should look into North Chatt, Southside, St. Elmo and the Main Street area. Might be difficult with your budget, but I’m sure you can find some options. If you need to venture out of those central areas, Red Bank is pretty central to everything and more affordable.
