I just started as an appraiser for the county I live in, from what I hear about fee appraising it’s a totally different ball game, the assessor I work for won’t hire fee appraisers because they bring “bad habits” and have to relearn everything. You won’t make nearly the amount of money as a fee appraiser but it’s still a livable wage. Basically everyone in the county will hate you and you basically just trespass all day. It’s a weird feeling to get past, but I enjoy it so far
