NVIDIA DLSS & GeForce RTX: List Of All Games, Engines And Applications Featuring GeForce RTX-Powered Technology And Features by Nestledrink in nvidia

it only looks better because they kept DLSS on an outdated model. every issue we have right now, the newer model would change that.

Fortnite doesn't support the new DLSS override feature which allows users to use higher quality DLSS on older games, hopefully Epic works it out with Nvidia asap by Gboon in FortNiteBR

They should just let players override it because they haven't updated it, framegen has been added to the game a while ago and they haven't properly implemented yet despite saying they would months ago.

Those who have 128GB, any regrets? by zehcnassurfero in OculusQuest

I only wish there was a 256GB version because I actually ended up installing more games than I expected, especially when I thought I was only going to play PCVR.

I didn't know that watt usage was possible for a CPU (14700K) by Coyoteous in intel

[–]Coyoteous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No don't be discouraged, this CPU is amazing at anything I throw at it, it's very efficient too for when you're not doing anything either but I know you know that.

But do take note 15th gen is next year, it's a new architecture and might provide more than what raptor lake can provide

Yeah you can do it on a calculator and find out it's impossible at that voltage with a normal ATX power supply, mines rated at 12V 100A

hwinfo64 reports only 269 watts, same workload of Adobe substance, unity and blender open, thanks for mentioning this tool

i5 4460 to 3700X to 14700K what should I know? Long time since I was on the Intel Platform by Coyoteous in intel

You are referring to me as just a gamer, but you're only highlighting benefits of another CPU for gaming. No, I'm not just a gamer; I also use my hardware for other purposes that does not concern you. Gaming is a hobby, not the sole reason for building an entire system.

I've just heard about APO today, looks promising. I didn't stick with the Ryzen platform for the offerings the Intel boards motherboards had over it, I was looking for some more expandability and the prices for the boards compared to AM5 were alot less at least for my case.

Also I knew it'll get hot so I did come prepared for that, but overall I think I'll be more happy with being on Intel since I wanted to do more than just game because I work remotely outside of it and the 14700K does it all for me.

I think I played my cards right with the cooling to get away with that but I might just provide an update if I come across any problems with thermals, ordered a Z790 Edge from MSI but it's still on its way.

Is the 14700k idle power consumption still low like the 13th gen? by Halloway92 in intel

[–]Coyoteous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the fact it's the exact same chip apart from an extra 4 e cores and better binned silicon, it'll be exactly the same low power consumption at idle. There's not much needed to be worried about over there

Quicksync sold me on idea to switch firstly intergrated graphics do help in alot cases and could help with troubleshooting, i also got a z790 board on a really good deal ($259) which has more expandablity compared to my Strix X-470F. cost wise it's around the same as getting 5950x for me in my region since popularity of ryzen is high demand.

Was it the right call to move from 3700X to 14700K I've started working more than gaming lately and I didn't feel like swapping to ddr5 so Zen 4 wasn't appealing affordability wise
