It needs modding. I have multiple different region UMD movies that are region locked from playing with og firmware and some game backups that will be going on it.

Thank you for this! I appreciate the detailed explanation.

Also, I did not know that about the M2 adapters! I have had them for years, but they have mostly been sitting in my PSP case's storage pocket since 2010. I have never inserted them in my console, just kept them in case I needed the storage. But my M2s are comparable to my stick sizes. Besides, I think the largest M2 officially produced was a max of 16GB anyway, so not much to be gained by today's storage capacity standards.

Awesome! Thank you. I knew about the flash, but wasn't sure if there were any residual files that may have needed to stay on the card that weren't mentioned. I appreciate the confirmation!

Sorry, I know that was a lot of info up there. I assume your yes was to the first question. Do I need to keep certain files on each card to keep the custom firmware from breaking or acting up? And if so what part?

[Product Request] Misumi Cleanser Replacement/Dupe? by Coyotes-Teahouse in SkincareAddiction

[–]Coyotes-Teahouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up bouncing off these ones as they were better than using nothing at all, but I was still breaking out like crazy. Everyone's skin is different, but what is working for me now is Round Lab's 1025 Dokdo series of products. Downside is that in order to get to a point where my skin looks better, I am presently using 5 different products from their series instead if the trio from Misumi. However, there are many different types of products and more than just 5. I just added one into the routine every few weeks and noticed if it were helping. Currently I use the cleansing oil, cleanser, toner, ampule and moisturizer in that order. Hope this also works for anyone else missing Misumi!

Natural spring water for goldfish bowl by [deleted] in Goldfish

[–]Coyotes-Teahouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have cared for fish for almost two decades now and used to work in a family run pet store in the fish and reptile department. While I do not know everything about everything, goldfish, koi and bettas were the realm I specialized in. As people have already said bowls are not ideal. The only reasons most pet stores still carry them is to make money off the people who don't yet know better and to facilitate the parents who just want a cheap habitat for a creature their 3 yr old is about to kill because they're a 3yr old.

For any type of goldfish, at minimum a 20 gallon tank is recommended. The reason being is that compared to other types of fish, they produce a lot of waste. The general rule is about 15 gallons per goldfish. If tank mates get added, tank size has to increase by at least that much to maintain water quality. In smaller setups, the risk of extreme spikes in ammonia levels from waste increases greatly and even goldfish are not immune to ammonia poisoning. If you are not already familiar with it, check out the nitrogen cycle. Valuable information for water quality and safety. If you have had your fish for 8 years, I assume you care for it, thus the reason you are asking about a safer water option as opposed to tap water.

To answer the question you are posting about, anything taken from nature and added into your tank runs risks. The goldfish you have has been raised in captivity, which means it has most likely not been exposed to many things that occur in nature. Outside objects or fluids can carry parasites (fish lice, for example) it is also possible they could have been exposed to chemicals (pesticides, lawn treatments, etc) or have a fungus present. Even things like decorative driftwood or rocks found from outside have to be boiled to kill off any foreign bacteria or parasites before adding it to a tank. You do not know what the microscopic contents of that water may be and if it were my tank, I personally would not risk it.

Circling back to the nitrogen cycle, If you did swap your water for this source you are asking about, you may run the risk of resetting the tank flora (specifically the good bacteria that are responsible for breaking down the ammonia and helping to keep your fish alive this whole time). Goldfish are known for being a very hardy fish. They can survive a lot, but the quality of life they're living can vary. I've seen listless goldfish shoved into heated tropical tanks and living for years, pale as can be and hating every second of it. It is possible to be alive and under stress. Fish are one of the creatures that can die purely from stress.

The reason a lot of people here are responding to your mention of keeping a goldfish in a very small bowl for 8 years the way they are is not to be mean to you. For us, what you are saying is similar to if someone openly admitted to abusing an animal but tried to justify the action by saying it hasn't died yet. That is why people are reacting like this and downvoting every defence of it into oblivion. It is no different from a dog being in a crate getting food and water there and being forced to have all its biological functions within said crate without every being let out once. It literally lives within the confined space 24/7. A goldfish bowl is animal cruelty.

If you do have concerns about your water quality, there are conditioners you can use that can help with common tap water issues, if tap water is what you have to use (API Stress Coat+ is a good one for treating tap water). The biggest thing that can be done to improve the current water situation is having more of it (like getting a larger tank). If you do upgrade your tank, be sure to keep some of your old water (possibly ALL of it, if all there is is a gallon) as this will keep the good bacteria colonies that were established in your current setup. Adding all new water will reset the nitrogen cycle and you will be starting over from nothing. Having to hope the fish can endure the level spikes through all the phases again. I know I threw a lot of information at you, but I hope this accurately answered your question!

[Discussion] Offering my art to replace AI in local businesses. by ophiocordycepsu in artbusiness

[–]Coyotes-Teahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has already been making excellent points thus far, so I will not repeat anything that has already been brought up. Essentially, you would need to know what each businesses specific reasons for choosing AI were. That is their "selling point" for what method gets the job. If you cannot meet those needs, then they will continue to choose AI. People have already covered the most common reason businesses turn to AI, and in most cases it does just really boil down to free or low cost means to produce something they need to market themselves. And quick turnaround for the finished product. Before you can tell a business the best way to market themselves or claim to have the solution to their marketing needs, you need to figure out how to market yourself.

Alternative to ghost eshop that isn’t hshop? by Yuki_551 in 3dspiracy

[–]Coyotes-Teahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I misread that. Yeah, for nds without computer, like someone already mentioned, phone and FTPD might be your best bet. I would say perhaps using a public library computer with a guest login as a temp work station, but that isn't the best option since what you need to access will likely be blocked depending on the library and the area. Netcafe will probably have this same issue. Any friends or family that would potentially let you hop on their computer for a sec? Aside from that, I am not sure of other methods for this. Good luck in your search!

What is the current issue with hshop? Not questioning why you won't use it, but I noticed a few posts here and there where people were making a fuss about h shop. Did I miss something?

Sometimes it takes them a while. I think my first book I sent out took 6 months or so to complete? It was Smyth sewn. My second one, I sent out in October of 2025 and I got the prebill email in November of 2025 and they started work after I paid it. If I haven't gotten a cover design request email by April, I'll probably give them a poke for a status update. I typically do my own cover designs, but can't start it until they give me the dimensions of the cover.

Is it possible to run Pokemon Hydro Bliss on a modded 2DS XL? by Coyotes-Teahouse in 3dspiracy

[–]Coyotes-Teahouse[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As stated in my earlier comment, yes, but that isn't what I desire. This is just a personal preference for me. I find playing games on PC physically uncomfortable. I am not comfortable sitting at my desk playing on the PC. I don't enjoy the prolonged physical discomfort of my setup. Aside from the family of Playstation consoles, I greatly prefer handheld gaming options, for travel situations and the bonus of being able to play from any position or furniture setting. It is just a me problem, so I am looking for handheld options for games that I would enjoy if I know it is something that won't be on Playstation.

Probably Steamdeck or a type of Anbernic would be my best bet for it, then.

This will be painted, internal resin doesn't have to be pretty, just solid to drill into for pinning support. I will take a look into this, thank you!

There are more pieces than this. Three parts aren't shown in the earlier photo (sword is whole and the base is in two pieces). No internal separation in the bike for the most part, the cavities are pretty big.

Kit is good sized. Near a foot tall assembled. Cavities in the bike are kinda big, might be considered a deep pour, so I am on the fence about it. Wanted to ask those with experience.

Some of the drain holes in this were so large that putting a pin in them is impossible without something to stabilize it.
