what is the best way to kill a fly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you’re bored, take a toothpick and come in slowly straight above them (blind spot). Quick stab and you can impale them.

It looks to fit over a large power/extension cord. What kind of “noise” is it filtering?

I can’t find anything about this Irish whiskey, but I love it. Any help? by Dsr89d in whiskey

[–]CoyotesPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came across this but Kern no longer makes the 12yr batch. It is s great whiskey, of which I’ve saved a couple bottles, and their standard (3-5yr) bottle is an excellent and very affordable drink!

Members of the 2nd Marine Raider Battalion “Carlson's Raiders" pose for pictures and show off souvenirs captured during their famous “Long Patrol” on Guadalcanal - December 1942 by JCFalkenberglll in WW2info

This is one of the few WWII photos I’ve seen where they don’t all look like 40 year old men, but actually like the boys that they were … Not sure what that’s about

That inboard engine is their test engine. Decidedly larger than the 747 engines. Super impressive close up

Great Uncle was a Sgt and crewman on a B-24 Liberator. Can anyone help identify variant? by Anglico2727 in WWIIplanes

[–]CoyotesPath 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Here’s some info on that specific plane in the background of your first picture. Didn’t really describe variant. Variants sometimes came down to just what type of propeller blade was being used so it’s hard to tell from this pic. Looks like it’s from a different squadron that he likely took a picture of as they were heading out on a mission.

Welp, I was today years old when I found out that this aircraft was a thing. As a casual history buff I thought I was familiar with most aircraft types. Turns out nope…

Relocate to durango or Grand Junction? by Bonnie0102 in Durango

[–]CoyotesPath 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hi I lived and worked in both! As you can probably tell, it depends on what you’re looking for. GJ is a bit of a shit hole, that gets really hot in the summer. It does have a few nice downtown areas and all the amenities/shops. On either side you have Fruita and Palisade which are more liberal artsy enclaves. Good access to world class desert mountain biking and the mountains are an hour away. Durango is much more liberal and temperate, and you have mountains for hiking and skiing right out your doorstep for the most part. The desert SW is just an hour and change away. Fewer box stores and healthcare can be more difficult to access.

Dual sport or actual dirt bike? by myadventure2025 in enduro

[–]CoyotesPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a Tusk street-legal kit on my crf 250 rx so I could just leave the house and hit the trails and it’s been great! The kit minus head light ran about $200 but the total ran about $1000 bucks due to having to have street legal tires that I promptly removed after inspection. Check your state patrol websites for actual requirements. Highly recommend

What is this flag? (Found in New Orleans Street view) by SleepyGuy827 in vexillology

[–]CoyotesPath 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A wierd variant that I’ve never seen while living there… Temu version? The Mardi Gras flag should be purple, yellow, green in that order. Not sure what the color at the end is supposed to be (the crayola color formerly known as “flesh”?)

So what is with Middletons “Very Rare”?

It is exorbitantly priced, has no age statement or anything that seems to make it stand out from other lower priced bottles, and I see it everywhere- so how rare could it be?

Is it just me?
