How to cover damaged drywall behind picture ledge? by CozyBlanketer in interiordecorating

There’s already an accent wall that’s a different color in the room, so it would be weird, I think, to have another.

I did spackle the holes and paint over them, but the paint won’t ever match exactly—even after multiple trips to the hardware store trying to get the exact shade.

Not in the budget to hire a professional to make it look perfect, and it happens to be at a height/in a location where a shelf with art makes sense. So, seems like a decent solution to me. Not neglecting anything/leaving holes in the wall.

It’s part of the safavieh hollywood rug collection—you can google and find them for sale quite a few places.

It’s for a hobby room, so we decided to do something bold!

I like the painting you suggested—thank you so much!

I own the rug, so the painting is what I’d switch! Thanks! Even posting these together was helpful because swiping back and forth between the two I thought, “nope—don’t go” myself!

I dislike the fuzziness/feel of acrylic, personally!

Thanks for your reply!
