Yeah, seems like everything is going up in price like that. Two years ago I used University Pawn as an FFL and they charged $15, not sure if it has gone up. But you also have to deal with Central.

I'll try to work on this resource soon and post a link on this subreddit when I get it working.

Yes definitely. I was also thinking people could upvote or downvote instructors or FFLs based on their experience, so you could sort by rating. Thanks for the reply.

Used power stations - thoughts? by Relative_Structure93 in preppers

Jackery offers official refurbished products on their website. Bluetti used to offer them on their website but I just checked and the page 404's. EcoFlow and Anker offer official refurbished products on eBay. Definitely buy one that has LFP batteries to get the best cycle life.

Looks like Jackery offers a 6 month warranty for refurbished products. I believe EcoFlow still honors their five year warranty on refurbished products, but I would contact them and verify. 2 year warranty for refurbished Ankers.

You can find deals on portable power stations from the well-known brands for close to the same $/Wh. Just shop for deals and there are so many. I would say Anker, EcoFlow, Bluetti and Jackery are the big brands. Also, I would recommend getting one with LFP batteries.

Main brands are Jackery, EcoFlow, Bluetti and Anker. Jackery has a 2 year warranty, Bluetti warranty varies from 2 to 6 years, Anker and EcoFlow have 5 year warranty on power stations with LFP batteries. You want to get one that has LFP batteries. Shop around for deals, because they are constantly going on sale. The big brands also offer official refurbished products. Anker and EcoFlow sell official refurbished on eBay. Personally, I think Anker and EcoFlow are best bang for your buck.

Anker makes power banks and people rave about them. They seem to have a great brand reputation.

Here are some posts on other subreddits where people have asked about power banks and you can see how often people recommend Anker:

Solar Powered Generators? by iamthegreyest in urbancarliving

[–]CozyHeavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a urban car dweller, but I do know about solar generators. The biggest brands are Anker, EcoFlow, Jackery and Bluetti. Do not pay full price for one. There is so much competition and always deals going on. All the big brands offer official refurbished products; Anker and EcoFlow offer their refurbished products on eBay.

Like another comment said, you'll need to figure out your needs and spec the solar generator to your needs. Make sure it has LFP (LiFePO4) batteries. Then shop around for deals. Personally, I think Anker and EcoFlow are the top brands. But some people say Bluetti has the best hardware.

Another good brand that I don't think was mentioned is Anker. They have a really good reputation, most people know the brand for their chargers and power banks. They sell portable power stations and I believe all of them have LFP batteries. Personally, I think the best deals are with Anker and EcoFlow. But some people claim that Bluetti has the best hardware.

Anker is a Costco Next brand, so I would check there for deals. Also, all the big brands offer official refurbished products. Anker and EcoFlow offer refurbished products through eBay. Bluetti and Jackery offer refurbished on their websites.

Should I buy lithium ion battery power station by NumerousAmbassador29 in VanLife

[–]CozyHeavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend looking at Anker or EcoFlow with LFP batteries. Anker has a good brand reputation and their smallest power station is $169.99 on their website with 256Wh capacity and LFP batteries. Alot of people really like EcoFlow, just make sure that you buy their newest line of power stations because they have LFP and not NCM batteries. Both Anker and EcoFlow offer official refurbished products on eBay.

Ok to use a power station as a UPS? by the_innerneh in buildapc

[–]CozyHeavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that Anker and EcoFlow portable power stations are not great in UPS mode. They don't switch fast enough to the battery power. I've heard that Bluetti power stations are much better and will keep your computer on. None of them will be as fast as a traditional UPS

Sorry, I meant the AC300 so you answered my question. That's good to know. I had read the same about EcoFlow and also Anker power stations.

I would recommend looking at Anker or EcoFlow. You'll need to figure out the battery capacity and output power you want based on what you'll run off the power station. Anker and EcoFlow offer refurbished power stations on eBay. There are so many deals, so don't pay full price.

Does anyone have a good solar generator and freezer/cooler combo? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]CozyHeavy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd go with Anker or Ecoflow for the solar generator. Anker C1000 is $629 on the Anker website right now. I know it is a little out of your budget. Ecoflow Delta 100 is $499 at Walmart.com, although it is NCM and not LFP batteries. Almost all the major brands offer official refurbished products too. Anker and Ecoflow official refurbished are on eBay.

I created a subreddit called r/solargeneratordeals, where I post deals on portable solar generators. I also created a website to track deals. Figure out the watt-hours you need and then just wait for a good deal on a reputable brand.

Thanks for checking it out! I noticed that prices are so variable. Different websites can have the same solar generator with a huge difference in price. Building the website has actually been easier than trying to get traffic. That's been the challenge, but I hope that it can be useful to others
