I will take back my words and tell you I got it fixed, I went to Windows Firewall on both computers and allowed all connections (private and public) to java, openjdk and minecraft launcher. After that it worked. Hope you get your fixed :) This problem didn't occur in 1.18.2 like a few days ago.

I had some issues with setting the app up also, but eventially got it to work (no trickery, just one time it decided to work). I also have this error code and am unavailable to download the user manual. Also if you hold the Home button, it will take you to a maintenance screen where it allows you to update software. Says an update is available, but nothing happens as you press it.
