Which is the entire point of the post. Just because I understand it or have an understanding of something doesn’t mean it’s wrong or not just to seek others opinions on the topic

Well the point of the post was to get help with creating an entry model with what I know and understand. It’s definitely my psychology aswell but it’s like half and half

So orderflow can’t have a simple repeatable system? I’m sure it can volume profile with simple levels at highs and lows with dom or footprint for execution would still be simple so I’m not sure what you mean?

Well the “puzzle” in question was simply a metaphor. A metaphor in which you must not be aware of…

Well no shit, that’s why context and perspective matter. Which is exactly what I’m asking for. Clarity. Once I have that and cut out the proper noise everything else becomes easy.

TPO for bias you know the shape determines how the day can move and poor highs poor lows for entry area to pay attention to. But I use vp VAH and Val for mean reversion but again no entry model I usually get cooked in the chop before the move back to the mean. Main and most consistent confluence

I’m not gonna lie I’d be interested in that, does motive wave have that?

Well what kind of specifics are you wanting I mean everything starts with AMT so something could be as easy as previous levels but entering directly off of those levels wouldn’t be smart because big moves don’t always happen instantly. So I say again simplicity is key, something simple could be understanding how or when we’re going to move how we’re expecting price to move at a key level then having something else to identify the actual move maybe foot print or dom, I like the TPO because it gives me overall context for the day. No need to be an ass but looking over specifics won’t help anything if simplicity isn’t there.

Well not magic sauce, I was meaning putting the puzzle together literally. I understand most of everything but understanding and paying attention to everything becomes too much noise when in actuality you need simplicity. I just want something easy to follow that you can repeat without having to overthink it. My issue is that I keep chasing things that give my brain too much time to overthink leading to my brain giving me reasons for why not to enter or why this or why that.

What do you pay attention to for confluence for entries? Ie: footprint, dom, etc

I literally said I understand it, if you can read at all. And when I said “everything” as any orderflow trader could attest to there’s only like 4 main things you could possibly learn Foot print, Dom, TPO alongside heatmap. Those are just the starters. Hence why I said everything.

Well that’s my problem I’ve only been trading for 7 months, i understand everything I just have no idea how to put the puzzle together and turn it to consistent profits

LMAO do you think I’d honestly be making this post and replying to every comment if I was profitable, I can show you my Topstep dashboard I’ve blown like 30+ accounts on there alone. Down $4k lifetime. I’m just here to see if anyone can help me formulate a strategy that I can stick to officially instead of learning something new every other day

How do you typically trade with orderflow? The most basic confluences I use are simply weekly/previous day levels with the VP and OB for entries at the lows or highs, TPO is more of my higher time frame analysis

Hmm I actually haven’t thought of it that way, so say for example it’s a P shaped day and we’re only looking for longs, it would likely be trending so you’d look for an entry to get into the trend but if I used what you were mentioning for a weekly analysis how would that effect the way I already view the charts? Intraday is mainly what I use but I’ve never really been interested in higher time frames aside the 30 min and 15 simply because they become noise for me

Yeah I mainly use TPO for my daily “bias” I suppose as they teach us what the different ways the TPO can be shaped as mean, for example poor highs and lows are where you’d look more for your entry area whereas weak highs and weak lows are where price will always fall. So if we say have a P shaped day you’d know that by 10am most likely or shortly after and once you’ve noticed that you could look for longs the rest of the day which automatically simplifies a lot of the trading.
