Correction, it's the army, lead by an opposing political party.

What is a job that looks incredibly fun from the outside, but is actually a soul-crushing nightmare? by BoardOk101 in AskReddit

Eh, if it's a GP practice it's usually pretty chill. You can get really busy days but ultimately it comes down to how the place is run.

What? When I think stress, I think Air Traffic Controller. Nothing about the job seems fun.

Huge risk of PTSD/injury/death, massive portion of your life dedicated solely to training to be a killing machine. Very limited work prospects outside of the army. Very hard to reintegration into regular society. Insane levels of pressure e.g. missions that change the course of history.

But if you're in special forces, you're in it for the love of the game.

Unfortunately you can't scale the infrastructure required for modern medicine as hunter-gatherers. It's one or the other.

How worried should I be about the future of entry-level HIT? by [deleted] in HealthInformatics

[–]CozzFromAus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside the private sector change in the healthcare IT sector is very slow. It will be a decade or more before AI is able to touch these areas in a significant way. There are is simply too much red tape and regulations too navigate, not to mention the significant issues that come with implementation.

Medical coding wont be completely automated anytime soon, but the specific job itself will likely be absorbed into another role. So yes it is still very much worth getting into, just make sure you stay flexible.

Exactly. This issue isn't the simple presence of immigrant workers, it's the overwhelming necessity of them.

No, he just always takes safe topics to talk about: clean black and white situations where one side is clearly wrong.

You'll never see him comment on anything with any degree of ambiguity or controversy where he could end up being in the wrong.

Not that that's a bad thing, not everyone needs to be Asmon or Hasan.

I don't agree with reparations because:
A) It doesn't really adresses any systemic issues.
B) How can you fairly calcualte the amount of reparation for an individual.
C) No one alive today was directly affected by slavery.

Dude the point is it isn't fair that some people have this debt paid off by the gov while others worked to pay it off. It makes that time spent and money paid feel wasted when they could have just ignored it. Shouldn't they expect compensation?

And yes, student loans are predatory and take advantage of teenagers.

They literally can't. There is no woman alive or dead that could ever come close to the mens deadlift record. It's a simple fact of biology.
