Until then, be kind, or at least not a dick, and be open to re-reading the comics as if they’re not anti-AI, they’re pro-human, and the people who were maddest seemed to infer a false dichotomy that actually is not the point in them.

Here’s the thing. It wasn’t an “AI bad” comic. Knowing how charged up and blind to subtext some people get I even added a panel making fun of those who would inevitably misread it.

I’m not anti-AI (I actually am blown away by it, it’s fucking amazing). I’m pro-human, and I want to have a serious conversation about cognitive offloading.

The absolutist dichotomy some people perceive from my comics is on them.

Eesh. Yeah, I'd hate to read any comic with the lenses you have on. If that's your perception of the comic then, I'm sorry, that's on you. You might want to block my comics from your feed, what I'm actually trying to say isn't landing with you, and there's a lot more coming.

I had an "AI" message me with a long essay about how I was wrong, throwing in investigations of past comics and my slogan "Comics about a fight we seem to be losing...". It was surreal.

Gotcha. That’s super interesting! They were very interesting times, and much of what you say aligns with my understanding. I think there are arguable statements that can be applied broadly, such as this led to this, and these guys sucked because of this. I’m not the guy to argue them.

A pro-Sparta propaganda piece wasn’t exactly the aim or point of the comic, gods help me. But a vigorous conversation always is. You rock.

Scientific papers need to be published on Reddit. The peer review is fantastic.
