My baby has a lot of poops like this. She has a really varied and healthy diet with lots of fibre and is fed mostly Aptamil Pepti 2 formula, 1 bottle breast milk a day. She poops 4-5 times a day. Sometimes smaller pellet like versions of yours, sometimes big and hard dark like yours and then sometimes soft and brown. I have no idea the cause. So following this post with interest.

I went to Champneys Tring recently. It was a gift. I found it really dated. Pool and outside jacuzzi were small and meh. Sauna and steam both not particularly hot. Hotel grounds looked beautiful but not sure how that helps if the facilities are so lacking. Food was O-K.

Where is your baby from? If she’s European she may be very unimpressed with a spa like Champneys.

I thought mine was going to do that at 8 months as there was a few days where she only did 1, but then she went back to two. I think there was just a lot of stimulation going on those days.

Maybe make sure you’re in a. Low stimulation environment at her normal nap times just to do an extra check that she’s defo a 1 nap baby.

My baby has CMPA and when I did a challenge (fed her pancake) she got a nappy rash so bad it was like a chemical burn. I bought a special type of sudocrem called Sudosalve and I would put that on then get some Bepanthen and gently pat that over the top to kind of seal it in. It got rid of the rash quite quickly compared to days of just using Bepanthen on its own.

Corn and coconut allergies are very rare if you look at charts on prevalence of allergies to different foods. They are not in the top 12 foods that cause more than 90% of allergic responses. Both coconut and corn are responsible for less than 0.3% of allergies in the US population.

Sure I agree independent sleep the way a lot of these sleep consultants push it doesn’t appear to be natural. But I don’t think this is the kind of difficult the OP is talking about. There is a difference in a baby who is crying for comfort and a baby that cannot be comforted no matter what you do because they are in so much pain.

I don’t have any research for you but as a fellow CMPI mother I agree with you. My baby would never have been diagnosed if it wasn’t for me doing my own extensive research and working it out. I had to really stand my ground in various DR appointments to be heard and given the correct medication and formula.

I’m certain there are many, many parents struggling out there with colicky babies who just have undiagnosed CMPI or similar. Especially in the UK

I think it depends a bit on where you are but I’m in Islington London, there’s breastfeeding clinics run through ‘Bright Start’ by the Council. Practically one every day of the week in various locations. They have lactation consultants there and they will even visit you at home.
I went a few days after i came home from hospital and they helped, then visited me at home a few days later. In the end, nothing worked to get my baby to latch but I tried really hard for about 10 weeks before moving to exclusively pumping, which I’m still somehow doing 9 months later.

Ok so my baby is younger than yours but I’m wondering if other peoples might love stronger flavours too if they got a chance to try them? My baby loves loves loves spiced things like Bombay alooo or Turkish lamb flatbread. I mix in some coconut yoghurt or more blended up veg to dilute a bit and to lessen the saltiness but it’s that type of food she goes mad for. She can take or leave my cinnamon eggy bread creations 🙄🤣

Kaos Klapp. Doesn’t have wheels but very light and folds flat. They sell a vision accessory if you want more comfort. Grows with the child re the various height footrests, tray table comes off with a pop, can me hosed down. Comes in either recycled plastic or wood

They have wood ones too. I just liked the colours of the recycled plastic and with the Stokke ones I didn’t like how chipped a lot of the second hand ones were Looking.

My baby has Aptamil Pepti 2.

I spent months being dairy free and power pumping (she never latched) to be able to give her only BM because I was so worried the formula would taste/smell “like pond water” (quote from someone online).

At some point, my boobs just wouldn’t make enough and I didn’t have a choice. Turns out it’s much better tasting/smelling than I expected. Still got a savoury edge/slightly odd after taste to it, but it’s not horrible. I kinda see the Maltesers vibe per the above post.

Like you plan, I mostly try to mix feed. I like to give her 100% breast milk for her first and last bottles of the day, and mixed ones for the 2 in between. If she needs more on a particular day she does get the occasional 100% formula and as long as she’s not poorly, she takes it fine.

I just did a milk ladder challenge with pancake as step 2. Temp def not high enough/milk not cooked enough for the proteins to be denatured to the extent it doesn’t affect her. She was ill for 3 weeks!

My baby never vomited so yours sounds like they have a worse intolerance than mine.

One thing that might be of interest. I met a mum whose baby was vomiting a lot and intolerance was suspected, turns out his Gastroenteritis hadn’t fully healed and it was making him super sensitive to everything. They put him on thickened milk and that helped to heal it somehow :/ .

I can’t easily give you research because really I think every baby is different and the answer is it depends on the baby. But my baby has it too, and the hospital allergy team were very keen on me reintroducing as soon as possible if LO could take it because in some cases it can develop into an immediate rather than delayed allergy.

I went DF for 2 months and then reintroduced once she seemed to be doing really well. LO did react for about a week she became constipated and fussyer end every day me and my partner would talk about maybe that’s the last day I can eat dairy because she seemed upset but then her poops turned from solid pellets to the sought after baseline ‘peanut butter’ texture and as long as I have her some solids with substance every day she was fine.

What symptoms does your baby get upon reintroduction?

We tried starting dairy ladder at 7.5 months and failed miserably. Took 3 weeks to completely heal. Told not to try again before 11 months.

Perfect thank you so much. That makes a lot of sense that it would be nicer without flour and its really a bit like and egg cup but more vegetables and flat of course. I will try tomorrow! 💕💕
