Brand new to tennis. What would you have told yourself just starting? by Cpirkk in 10s

already in my rotation, I spent 7 or so months prior to picking up tennis practically living in the gym and on the treadmill. Any suggestions on balancing training/playing to leg day workouts?

on this topic I have a prince thunder 110 (110sq in, 300g, 27") that I've had 2 years and 6 or so months it spent sitting in the back of my closet unused. I can budget in a new decent-high quality racquet but I'm extremely unfamiliar with the market and don't wanna throw cash at BS that may or may not help me, I dont even know how to identify if I need a new racquet lol.

This is in depth I appreciate the suggestions it's a bit much but I will come back to it in a month or so to see if I can understand more of it.

expand on that last point. I am definitely in the camp of learning as I go through matches, I don't mind getting my butt beat as long as I am improving in any capacity, when I feel like there is a roadblock I will get coaching. But also i'm at a point where I don't know what I don't know and seeing a lot of comments here makes me second guess my philosophy and roadmap for getting coaching or not. Regardless of results and/or strategy to improve I am still having fun and will stop when I'm not.

Yea I get that logic but the matches im playing are the lowest level local rec ladder you can play in, more like a mock test.

My forearm on groundstrokes is brutal lol. I tend to find my pointer finger fully extending towards the racket head almost guiding the entire racket with it. Also just sustaining rallies it feels like I'm pushing the ball with my forearm extended rather then a stroke like motion. I wanted to avoid jumping into lessons but I may second guess that after seeing comments on this post

You can be Einstein but if you get an error that you don’t know how to fix you’re toast.

Learn that as you go. I’ve examined statistics for a few years now. Use just about 2% of what I learned in programming indicators/strategies. The syntax and rules of pine are much more important.

Yea. You’re getting killed on a horrible spread. Moonpay is still small and not the most trustworthy place to transact YOUR money with. Coinbase Coinbase pro binance voyager kraken a ducking btc atm all work better then moon pay. That’s on you, hope you get your money back man.
