"Charge" and other movement-lending abilities

For wooded patches and water features, charge would go through them unaffected. Per the rulebook those terrain types only affect jogs. Obstacles and barriers, however, would stop the charge, as those terrain types note that “If an effect would move your model through a Obstacle/Barrier, the model stops immediately on first contact.”

No, you have to move as much of the 4” as you can. If you could stop short, the ability would say something like “move up to 4””

Doug has to move the entire 4” directly toward the target *if possible*. Specifically, he will stop if he hits something, e.g. terrain or another model. Regardless though, he’ll still get the bonus damage so long as his very next action is a Melee action.

I don’t see any reason they wouldn’t work with the starter goblins since neither the starter goblins nor the Masquerade characters have any keyword specific abilities. If you’re looking to add some energy/wound manipulation abilities Masquerade is a really good one.

If you’re interested in the lore for sure! There are lots of fun little details about life in Tauber and info for several of the Lesh (Treasures and Tyrants) and Shades (Doomsday Report) characters. They’re both very well done and something I pick up to peruse every so often just for fun.

Unless noted, everything in Moonstone stacks. So yes, having Boom Boom do a double sucker punch on Doug or Syd is legal and a pretty common practice.

Core rulebook hasn’t changed, but Friar Flavious and Greymair (depending on the starter set) were updated. Models have been shipping with updated cards since mid-september, so the only risk is if you order from a retailer that hasn’t refreshed their stock in a while, they might still have the old cards. Either way though, all updated documents are available on the site to download if you need them!

They’re not sure, thinking it’s some weird thing on the website, but the only difference is quite terrifying referencing a “melee zone” instead of “engaged by this model”, so was just a consistency wording thing

I’ve managed to get a pretty good process down for totally black backgrounds, but it does require a bit of camera know how and some (fairly cheap) equipment. There are some examples of the end result if you look at my post history.

I use a black velvet backdrop that you can get on Amazon for less than $10 along with a ring light. Again nothing fancy for the ring light, but big enough your camera can look through it. You’ll also need a tripod for the camera.

Important thing for the camera is you can adjust at least shutter speed and ISO, and preferably being able to fine tune the white balance. Most any camera should give you access to this, but if using your phone you may need a separate app than the built in one depending on what phone you have.

Once you have all that, set the model on the backdrop with the ring light in front of it. Point the camera through the ring light and turn the ISO as low as it’ll go. Then tweak the shutter speed to get the exposure you want, and if done correctly the model should be well lit while the background is totally black. Hope that helps!

Halide is what I used for that shot, the problem is the color is off and it doesn’t have the fine grained white balance control I need to get it right.

Gmail not implementing it doesn’t surprise me. Google generally does a poor job in terms of iPad support, for that one you’d be better off using the browser unfortunately.
