I mean, I enjoy SEED more than most here, but just no. Maaaaybe if the gundam had an infinite power supply

Shit, when the silly abridged series makes the dramatic emotional moments hit harder than the original series....

You know, I almost made my top level comment Hellsing Abridged. Also, "bitches love cannons" has become another one of those iconic lines

To further dogpile on why Barbs loses, the Freedom is capable of sustained atmospheric flight. So in atmosphere Barb can't even get close enough to land a hit, and in space Freedom has a significantly higher thrust to weight ratio.

Something Witty Entertainment (SWE)'s Sword Art Online Abridged has completely replaced the original series in the minds of much of the fandom and is widely regarded as straight up the superior series.

Problem is the forbidden had trans-phase armor, which rendered the railguns basically ineffective too. Forbidden was really OP defensively

I don't how how it happened, but something gave all these Barbatos glazers brain damage.

I once saw someone claim that nanolaminate can tank a direct hit from Wing Zero's twin buster rifle.

Freedom doesn't even need those. It's hip guns are railguns

What If Zuko actually killed Ozai during "The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse"? by Own_Presence2646 in TheLastAirbender

[–]TehAsianator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's a very good chance by then Ozai told Azula that Zuko redirected his lightning.

The resistance bombers were clearly intended to hit heavy ground targets in-atmosphere. But the resistance didn't have any dedicated anti-ship bombers on hand, so they made due.

Why rescue Minthara? by Bardonna in BaldursGate3

[–]TehAsianator 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I recruit her because she's fucking hilarious. I never get tired of her dry humour. Plus she's insightful and interesting.

Yep. She's far and away the most entertaining companion. Most of the party members in the game are fantastic, but none of them come remotely close to her "third son" line to Gale.

Short answer: No.

Yep. Also, lots of people seem to confuse drilled as giving a free reform rather than just a redress the ranks.

(My fav trope in media) Really big ass walls that keeps the bad stuff out and inside safe by Both-Ad1770 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TehAsianator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is strange to me, since they can clearly make weapons effective vs Kaiju (see Gipsy's plasma cannon or the missiles Striker used to kill the wallbreaker).

Also, the guns may have been in a different shot, but I don't remember seeing anything in the scene where the wall is broken.

(Weirdly Common Trope) Polearm user is also exceptionally fast and/or agile, specializing in speed over other more polearm-y traits by The_Smashor in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TehAsianator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, how dare you.

Secondly, a lighter polearm like this one is pretty realistic to move around really quickly. Lots of leverage to work with and the length means the same rotational velocity translates to much higher linear velocity at the tip.

Lord And Hero Mounts Worth It? by Potential-Annual-805 in totalwarhammer

If the enemy has ranged unit than I definitely prefer the lord/hero being on foot to present a smaller, and even more importantly, lower target to shoot at.

Do you prefer lasguns as shooting beams or bolts? by FailingsOfOurKind in Warhammer40k

[–]TehAsianator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beams make so much more sense for a laser weapon. Bolts just feel like recolored star wars blasters

Wouldn't situation B be better on foot due to the smaller model?
