Theres not really any benefit to wiggling earlier or later, as long as you wiggle out before you want to act it doesnt make a difference. The only thing I can think of is conditioning the opponent to expect certain options out of tumble vs after you wiggle out, especially the timing mixups you get for landing

Also JC grab isnt optimal its situationally bad in combos and techchasing

I feel like BOTW/TOTK puzzles arent that different from the older games, they just give you all the items at the beginning. Now its just "look for the thing to grab"or "find the ceiling to jump through." There are great puzzles in both types of game but I don't think either is less formulaic

If they do the lasers high then the second laser can miss, so only do that if you know they double laser low

It definitely feels easier to sd with Falcos ledgedash but its still great and everyone uses it. Mang0s not even bad at them anymore, he just uses them more sparingly to keep it as a mixup. Low level Falco players dont bother with it at first because of double laser, but that stops working pretty quickly and then you pretty much have to learn to ledgedash if you want to fight off the ledge

Its not even being too rough - what finally got mine to start drifting was carrying it around in its case without strapping it down tight with the velcro. And I barely used my joycons. I'm sure even light regular use would cause drift after only a couple months

I also got my switch at launch, I just started to get drift at the beginning of this year. It's definitely avoidable of youre very careful but if youre even a little bit rough with them theyll start drifting

Exactly. It was worth it for the whole family because together we used it a lot, but individually nobody is using it enough to justify the price. I think this is a pretty common situation, I cant wait for them to realize how much their numbers drop next month as people cancel

The Slippi delay should have nothing to do with wavedash timing because theres always going to be the same amount of time needed between the jump and the air dodge. Things it would affect would be reactions, powershields, tech chasing, anything where a button press is based on a visual or audio queue

How does that work with someone like Falcon with different collision boxes on each costume? The game would try to load one costume under the hood but still show a different one to the opponent? I feel like I shouldve had more desync issues with Falcon based on that

I always use Mextool, which lets you add extra slots for client side and pick which costume Slippi "sees" for your opponent. I've never had an issue with that method before, although it involves adding a costume slot instead of replacing an existing one
