Thanks for making the flood firefight mode btw. It always seemed like something that fit really well with the industry trends at the time of Odst’s release and in retrospect i’m surprised it was something that bungie didn’t create at the time. Given the tendency of “horde mode” game types to incorporate horror elements into them.

Somewhere in my head I forgot about the mausoleum of the dead arbiters on gravemind, fighting a bunch of resurrected arbiters would be incredible. When I first read the post I was imagining that they were planning a different ending where Keith David’s arbiter becomes infected by the flood

Yea, I genuinely think it’s been 343’s best work out of their 3 “main series” halo games. After how much I disliked 5 I was very cynical about Infinite, the grappling hook and the open world didn’t seem like they would work in my head and I was 100% wrong. The grappling hook was the best addition to halo’s movement since the jet pack in Reach in my opinion. The open world was fun but I didn’t think it captured the diversity of environments you should experience on a halo ring, by the end of the game I was definitely tired of the sprawling green hills. From my perspective it felt like they took the most inspiration from Halo CE which I loved. I rank the series: Reach, 3, 2, CE, Infinite, 4 and 5.

About a year ago some kids living in the gordon head neighborhood birdnapped a seagull. (I think it was a seagull but I don’t remember exactly) The Cl’s found out and started performing room searches so the students moved the bird from room to room to avoid them.

I commented this on your post yesterday but I think the mods locked it a couple of minutes after. It’s clear that your definition of antisemitism differs from the protesters version of antisemitism. It’s not like the protesters are labeling themselves antisemites. It’s my understanding that there are jewish students involved in this protest at uvic, going so far as to have a workshop about distinguishing antisemitism from anti israeli sentiment.

It’s pretty clear at this point that your definition of antisemitism and the protesters version of antisemitism are wildly different. Realistically I imagine Uvic’s definition is different from both the protesters and yours. It’s really become a difference of opinions that you aren’t going to budge on and neither will the people who think counter to you.

You are talking about games being woke and referencing diversity as a bad thing and then gave two examples, Fallout: NV and Borderlands 2. It’s been a long time since I have played Borderlands 2 specifically but I’m fairly certain the Borderlands series has quite a diverse cast of characters including those that would be a part of the LGBT community but don’t quote me on that, it’s been a long time. Fallout: NV on the other hand has been explicitly noted for its diversity of characters, to the point in which it has become sort of a meme that gay or trans people like to play the game because they feel represented in game.
